To be fully transparent with constituents - today in Offaly County Council I voted against FG’s motion (supported by FF) not to nominate anyone for the Presidency.
As this motion passed I did not have an opportunity to vote on Mr Sheridans nomination. #aras25
I have been contacted by several constituents regarding ongoing building works in Kilcormac.
I have contacted Offaly County Council who have advised me they are not aware of any proposal from the Dept of Justice to use a building in Kilcormac for IPAs Accommodation.
Deputy Carol Nolan has clearly done a secret deal with Lowry and the Government at the expense of her own constituents.
She must be honest with voters about whose interest she represents.
The heckling of Sinn Féin’s @mairedev by male Govt TDs in the Dáil today speaks volumes.
I guess SF missed the govt memo that today was a day for tokenistic words and not a call for action that would actually further equality and inclusivity. #IWD2025
Housing in Offaly is Broken & Ordinary People are Paying the Price
‼️2/3 of OY TDs - Deputy Nolan & McCormack - are landlords
‼️Average rent in OY rose €4.8% to €1,554
‼️For the 3rd month in a row OY had the 2nd highest number of adults in emergency accom. in the Mid. region
Never forget, the lack of women in Govt is a choice.
This is a Govt that does not value women.
@barrymward claim that Govt didn’t turn up because they couldn’t speak,is not only false, but speaks volumes.
Women don’t owe you speaking time in exchange for being heard & represented.
Two important take away from todays #ReportCard2025
‼️There was a doubling in the number of areas receiving an ‘E’ or ‘unacceptable’ grade from the previous year
‼️almost one in three of all the areas examined have experienced a deterioration from their 2021 grade
If only Micheál Martin and this Government devoted the same level of precision and examination to their housing projections, the cost of the children’s hospital, a bike shed, a security hut, and 70m of wall… to name but a few!!
The weaponisation and politicisation of the Irish language by Micheál Martin today in the Dáil is nothing short of a disgrace.
It flies directly in the face of the acceptance and inclusivity every Gaeilgeoir strives for.
Good thing the courts are still sitting - although this might explain why some members of Govt are too busy to reconvene the Dáil tomorrow.
https://t.co/4Esjrkd2Sy Denis O’Brien told to hand over documents as mobile firm sues over licence in wake of Michael Lowry payments
Fianna Fáil could really do with a civics refresher - between leader, Michael Martin’s belief that the primary purpose of the Dáil is to elect a Taoiseach and now Head of Comm’s, Donnacha Maguires belief that the Dáil only needs to meet to pass legislation!!
Ashling Murphy 🕊️
Today, I joined hundreds others in waking along the Grand Canal in memory of Ashling Murphy on the third anniversary of her passing. 🧵

Farming is vital to the economy, especially in Offaly.
Our 3 TD’s, who are looking to enter Govt, must stop talking out of both sides of their mouth on Mercosur and stand up for the needs of our farmers and rural communities.
