Grandmother leaves tommorow and I'm spending another day with her. Grandma beats all of you every day of the week. Will also finish my article about the "Black Wednesday" strikes in Lebanon tonight for @OffbeatResearch.
Will stream tomorrow🦀
OffBeat Research journalists @DylanBurns1776 and @PatrickHilsman traveled to Beirut and southern Lebanon to report on the state of the ceasefire. They interviewed those displaced by war, covered recent ceasefire violations, and spoke to civilians living in the "pilot zones”.

Even at night, life on the front line can be a sensory overload.
From the urban heart of civilian life in Kramatorsk, the OffBeat Research team captured the chirp of resilient crickets beneath a constant, never-ending whine of Russian drones and their associated explosions.
Tips to survive while evacuating civilians in a drone war like Russia's invasion⛑️
1⃣Don't slow down
2⃣Look for cover anywhere you go
3⃣Don't rely on being marked as aid workers
6⃣Make as much noise as possible to be heard
4⃣Stay no longer than you must
5⃣Do not debate civilians
As the Ukrainian Armed Forces experience demographic shifts towards conscriptees over volunteers, defections are emerging as an increasingly significant concern among servicemembers — and this far from the first defection the 155th has experienced.

After failing to evacuate an elderly man in Kostiantynivka due to his passing, a young local man met us outside. The conversation quickly turned to why he won't leave the frontline city, speaking of the struggles went though to make ones home and how memories can't be rebuilt.
I embedded with the 15th National Guard Brigade "Kara-Dag" as they pilot Hornet drones. These inexpensive mid-range strike drones are crippling Russian logistics. Drones like these are why occupation authorities now must engage in fuel rationing to keep the Russian army supplied.
New: @DylanBurns1776 embeds with a Ukrainian mid-range drone strike team, whose successful use of the evolving technology has both patched and exposed critical gaps in Ukraine’s offensive against Russian supply lines. https://t.co/FYGyooyveJ
The newfound targeting of Russian supply lines by Ukrainian forces owes largely to the proliferation of midrange strike drones, including the US-supplied ‘ Hornet’ system, which have substantially disrupted logistical routes toward the frontline.
Be on the lookout for @DylanBurns1776’s upcoming coverage of Ukrainian forces using these drones on the front.
Today, the US government announced it is expending multiple high-value standoff munitions in response to yesterday’s downing of its $40 million Apache airframe with a low-cost Iranian drone.
This is the asymmetric future of modern warfare.

Due to security risks associated with embedding on the front (and in particular response to emerging drone threats), photography/videography is often heavily limited. In his downtime, instead of B-reel, Dylan Burns took various cat videos which are provided here free of charge.

"I want to send a message to the people that like to sit at home and say that the Russians are ‘idiots, orcs, pigs, pig dogs’, and whatever else they call them. It’s not like that at all. They’re also people, and they’re also learning. They just need to make a few more mistakes."

This week, Ukraine recalled Israel’s ambassador to discuss multiple grain shipments which were stolen by Russian forces and ported in Haifa — but this alliance is far from new.
