I followed sat nat to here on Thursday, which was completely not where i was supposed to be, but so glad it took me to this place. It's located in the hilly outskirts of Bath, in a church grounds. I stopped for a few moments, remembered, took a photo to pass on.
Was lucky enough to be in Tokyo when the blossom was at its prime. Love the complement of the blue green glass with the pink blossom. Thinking these colours could be great on our next lot of sustainable fusion covers. Hope I can find those tones in our fabrics offcut collection.
Greys and blues looking good at this sea jetty on the island of Naoshima. Simple lines and complementary colours like these are the inspiration for the sustainable home goods we make from recycled textiles.
"What is greed?" A good friend commented on my story the other day. Not sure I have the answer, which is worrying as I consider greed as part of today's problems. Is greed wanting more than you need? Having more than you need? Any suggestions?
Keeping our printing down to a minimal, to reduce the need for chemicals and avoid as much pollution as possible. This stamp has been fantastic and we've started experimenting with embossing as well.
Textiles offcuts that we recycle. On the left are the pieces separated out for reuse. On the right is the scraps that end up going through a shredding process and become stuffing for our cushion pads. That's 100% reuse of the textiles, which prevents green house gases emissions
Lee UFan Museum, Naoshima, Japan. I wanted to show the context of the piece, so the last shot is from @benesse_artsite. First two images are my own. @ Lee Ufan Museum https://t.co/l7ClnWBK8l
Yes Please! I'd like some less common more sense. Like the sniffer, who wear a face mask with their nose out. Don't bother wearing the mask if you guna stick two out of three of your air wholes out of it.
Big fan of bamboo. This beauty is in @KewGardens first conservatory as you might guess from the ceiling of glass and all the metal beams. Love the graphic nature of the walkway framing top and right of this image and the perspective and leading lines of the bamboo and metal work
Spotted this gate on a back streets of Tokyo. The negative space creating the circles is really well designed. So elegantly simple and crafted out of individual battens, cut to the length to create the circle. This has been inspiring me for a wooden partition in the new studio.
Loving the simple lines on this bridge over the A13 by the Stratford Olympic Park in East London. Great colour combo between the green grass, orange metal and grey concrete.
Shot this in roof and building on the island of Yakushima, few hours of the cost of mainland Japan. Love how the landscaping and architecture have been considered as one. @ Yakushima Island https://t.co/QKQMSKKLnr
The inside of our cushion pads looks like this. Made from 100% reclaimed textiles waste, that would have gone to the incinerator if we hadn't stepped in and saved it. Stuffing is super comfy and you can try that at home with a worry free refund guarantee. https://t.co/0K2Rx3N05t
This cushion gets they most likes on Etsy by far, but no one has ever bought it. Any ideas on why this particular design gets likes and no sales? I know the more likes, the more it appears in searches, but can that account for more likes than the rest combined? Etsy algorithm= 🙈
