Offensive in standing for the truth and against people who attack the faith. Bringing the restored gospel of Christ brings peace. No hatred or vitriol here.
Christ’s moments of righteous anger were rare and measured with perfect judgment. His command to love was constant. Because we don’t have His flawless discernment and perfect judgment, we should be slow to claim righteous anger and quick to choose love and charity.
@js70400@rid40562489 We believe God has a physical body so he cannot exist outside of time. Now I do think he experiences time differently from us but I believe God exists within reality.
What do you mean about the creation story? I would say we do believe it. We may believe it differently from you
What was God doing?
Each dot or light is a galaxy. Like the milky way. Billions of stars are represented here. Many not visible from earth.
According to creedal Christians, why do you think this exists? What was God doing before he created the earth with all of this?
@js70400@rid40562489 Oh interesting! What section of Christianity would you belong to?
This is my speculation. I would say God our Father is the Father over all the galaxies in our universe. But that he has been creating and exalting worlds for eternity past and will continue doing so forever.
@BroSpencer George Washington was a freemason. Freemasons try to make the world a better place and must believe in God. (I am not one for the record.)
Abraham was a polygamist.
He was a Smith though.
@TGill55441@FinalStoic@Primary_Pianist God or the Godhead.
Typically we mean the Father when we use that specific term. We'll also refer to Christ as Jehovah. This is all gor charity's sake. Jehovah and Elohim can refer to all three in the bible.
@rid40562489 Just to clarify, not to argue, I have a question.
Are you saying that these galaxies all popped into the universe at the time the earth was created? Just looking for clarity in your position.
@Vegas82@rid40562489 I dont believe God is physics. We believe God is human. Not an abstract force outside of space and time.
I remember in my college astronomy class though going over speculation that mathematically other life must be out there. This is a point outside of religion. Do you agree?
@Vegas82@rid40562489 The purpose of this question was to see what creedal Christians think about this question
We believe God has created numerous other worlds besides our own, and that he will continue doing so well after this Earth is exalted.
Many astronomers agree life must be out there right?
@blaisedinsd@ThoughtfulSaint@erichard49 I agree with your two sentences.
Polytheism is worship multiple distinct gods with sometimes different goals.
We worship one God or Godhead. Three beings or persons perfectly united in purpose.
The bible acknowledges multiple gods (not evil or false ones) in a few places.
@rid40562489 Fair response! Do you think God created any other worlds with people before this one? Or that he will after?
No arguments here on this post. I am genuinely curious.
@ThoughtfulSaint I was chased off the road by a driver once. It was also common for people to hit puddles to splash us intentionally. A friend of mine got mugged.
