The Nigeria Off-grid Market Acceleration Programme (NoMAP) berthed in Abia State earlier in the week to interface with major stakeholders on expanding energy access to communities and social-impact projects using alternative energy sources...
The workshop discussed development plans of the various ministries & explored strategies around how to harness #renewableenergy to drive the delivery of the state’s developmental targets, a step towards enhancing energy access for unserved & underserved communities in the state.
As part of NoMAP’s policy and regulatory support to States, we facilitated a one-day stakeholders’ workshop for MDAs and senior government officials of Abia State. The state’s Commissioner for Power & Public Utilities, Engr Ikechukwu Monday and the SA to the Governor on Energy
Engr Kachy Etolue emphasised the cruciality of #energyaccess in the state government’s developmental strategy adding that the off-grid electrification policy will provide comfort to stakeholders looking to support the state on its electrification drive.
