@BurgerBeguiler Honestly the real red flag is the gear. High end gear from the same content we struggled on because of his mistakes. I'd like to think even when getting carried you do absorb SOME sort of insight on how things are being done.

Had my first encounter with someone that likely RMT'd their character.
Fully geared SAM with ML50, yet didn't understand skillchains AT ALL. Nearly wiping the group cause he didn't know his SCs did an element that buffed the boss.
The much lesser geared COR did beter than him.😐

Now that I got the Kupon. I'm still torn on what to get with it. RDM is stuck behind the Sortie wall, so getting it for RDM makes sense. But highly considering using it on WHM or something else to jumpstart a new job to usefulness later down the road.

theres plugins in ffxiv now that allows you to level all classes in the game (with the exception of Blue Mage and Beastmaster probably) with you afk so now when I look at someone with all classes max I can't gurantee that they know how to play the game

It's okay, but the high sub fee alone is enough to scare people away.

Anything before 99&ilvl content is basically a solo experience. The amount of running around for MSQ&unlocks can take longer than a month for a casual player. Which most of the trial doesn't touch.

Looks like FFXI's updated Free Trial is rolling out next month.

- Unlimited play time.
- Level cap of 75
- Base Jobs + Pre-RoZ Jobs (No DRG, NIN, SAM. SMN Heavily hindered by this but playable)
- No Expansion Zones/Added Scenarios like Rhapsodies
- 3 Characters, though if you go to the full game that'd cost $14.99/mo to keep all 3.
- 100k gil cap
- No AH, Bazaar or Trading with other players
- Can only catch 10 fish a day (lol)
- 3 Trusts Max (Makes sense since RoV is required to get more). Also no Unity Trusts.
- No tell/shouts/yells, but you can reply to personal messages or add them through PoL and use that messaging system.
- /say chat is allowed.
- Can't form parties but can join them.
