Most intriguing quarterbacks for 2026
1 Kamario Taylor, Mississippi State
2 Drew Mestemaker, Oklahoma St
3 Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, Cal
4 Lanorris Sellers, South Carolina
5 Kenny Minchey, Kentucky
The SEC is heavy at the top of our WR list with 8 in our top 31. Another 2 are in our Top 60 for 10 total, but another 4 fall within the top 69 (for 14 total).
The details:
🏈After a slow 1st 2 games in single digits, OU’s Isaiah Sategna turned things up with 20+ points in 6 of his next 10. He was targeted inconsistently though, with 6 of 12 games at 9+, but 5 with 6 or less. We think that changes for 2026 and with more consistent targets. and a healthy Mateer at QB, he can elevate his game further - into the Top 5 with 23/24 PPG.
🏈The first 5 games of 2025 gave us a glimpse of Mario Craver’s maximum potential at Texas A&M as he managed 23.8 PPG vs his season average of 15.6. The emergence of Concepcion along with a mid-season injury (specifics undisclosed, but enough to have him “questionable” on multiple official reports) caused a decline. With Conception gone and a return to full health, we expect easily 100+ targets, 21+ PPG, and Top 10 finish for ‘26..
🏈Anthony Evans was the most targeted WR at Miss. St. last year, but he still finished 2nd to Brenan Thompson. His outputs were inconsistent with random single digit games between 20+ point games. Some of that can be attributed to working with a true-frosh QB in K. Taylor. With Thompson gone he should be more consistently targeted, and a year of growth with Taylor should help greatly. He’ll be at or close to 20 PPG and is a great WR2 option as a Top 20 WR.
🏈Keshaun Singleton managed 15.6 PPG, even after posting single digit scoring in 3 of his 1st 5 games. His finish gives us more of a glimpse of his maximum capability with 23.9 PPG over his final 4 games. With the big step up to Auburn and the SEC we don’t think he can maintain that level, but based on the system (brought over from USF) and his familiarity, we still expect success and 19/20 PPG. At WR23 he can cover your WR2 role, but he’s a bargain if you can get him as your WR3.
🏈We aren’t going to argue about which Tennessee WR you should take. We expect nearly identical outputs - in the 18/19 PPG range - for Mike Matthews and Braylon Staley. Our WR27 and WR30 rankings are practically interchangeable and all we know is that playing together is keeping both from finishing much higher. Still, with Brazell (last year’s WR21) gone, each will have big moments and should be more consistent than in 2025. Look at either for great WR3/Flex level production.
🏈Will still believe in the potential of Ryan Coleman-Williams and expect an improvement on his freshmen numbers from ‘24. Playing injured and not at 100% for much of 2025 affected his output greatly and reports were extremely positive throughout spring. As the true WR1 still, expect a big jump from his 11.4 PPG to at least 18. The development of L. Brooks - and the attention he’ll get from defenses - should help also. At WR28 he’s capable of filling the WR2 role, but is a great WR3 option if possible.
🏈We expect a great season from Cam Coleman but have tempered expectations based on the recent history of Texas WR1s over the past several years. Of note, the top Texas CFF WR finishes in the last 5 years were Worthy’s WR30 and WR32 in 2021 and 2022. There’s just a tendency to spread the ball around too much to generate an elite-level target. That said, at WR31, we see Coleman maximizing the opportunity and finishing close to 20 PPG. But, we still like him to round out a set of starting WRs in the WR3 role vs. relying on him as your WR1 or 2.

@jtorange@GridironSchol91 I think there is a zero percent chance Mensah ends the year with -34 rushing yards again, so agreed there
Also Sellers being free of Shula might finally give us what we were all hoping for last year
Wouldn’t feel right to do some “my guys” for RBs outside the top names and not also show some love to the receivers. Come check out some “my guys” sliding down the boards with potential for #CFF or #C2C relevance!!
