I welcome the return of Cohobblopot to the Crop Over calendar after three years of relentless advocacy. I raised this concern during the Appropriations Bill 2026 debate and stressed the need to protect our cultural heritage. Let’s all now work towards a successful Crop Over 2026!
Disapppointing to see certain Caribbean leaders turn their backs on Cuba, which has always been a friend to us. To speak about the situation in Cuba w/o noting the role of the US embargo or the current escalation is truly disingenuous. Our ancestors must be ashamed.
Congratulations to Jalon Samuel on a tremendous Gold Cup triumph! A good man with a good heart, and it’s always good to see good people win. I’m happy for you, brother.
Great partnerships create great work! 🏆
Today we celebrate the CWI/WIPA Awards Gala 50th Anniversary Commemorative Logo earning its way to a Silver ADDY Award.👏🏽

Yesterday, two CP boys in the Upper Chamber. Senator Shane Archer and I were in the same year at Coleridge and Parry. Mrs. Pauline Farley, wife of President of the Senate Reginald Farley, was a senior and maths teacher, and with her help I earned a Grade 1 at CXC. Truly grateful.

Our democracy will never mature if we always assume that any thing someone says is coming from a partisan perspective. There are many of us who are politically unaligned. It's hard for some yardfowls to comprehend but not everyone sees things through a red or yellow lens :)
Life is deeply unpredictable. I am truly saddened by the passing of the young lady, Cara, who fought courageously to the very end. At moments like this, my thoughts turn to the many young people of our generation whose lives were cut short including my friends Kobe and Raquan.
Jamal Slocombe penned a very well written article about the recent rise of Bajan dancehall. Do we still have entertainment journalists in the country ? I want to see Masta T, Weather 40, Marley, Chief Diin, Doe Jay doing interviews. The fellas would talk, let’s expose our own.
CARICOM’s strains aren’t sudden failures. They’re long-standing tensions finally exposed. Anyone reducing this to tweets and punditry is mistaking noise for understanding. Trust me, there’s more happening behind the scenes than what’s being displayed in the public.
