KCGS is participating in the Regional Seminar of Maritime Information Fusion and Joint Operations Centres in Saint-Denis, La Réunion. The seminar brings together national maritime centres and focal points from across the Western Indian Ocean to strengthen information sharing, enhance coordination, and foster collective responses to maritime security challenges facing the region.
The engagement contributes to improved maritime domain awareness, strengthened regional cooperation, and more effective responses to transnational threats, promoting a safer and more secure maritime environment for all.
KCGS hosted a formal evening dinner graced by the Director General KCGS, attended by senior leadership and the marching contingent team.
In his address, the DG commended the team for their exemplary performance in the march past, describing it as a shining example of patriotism, teamwork, and discipline during their deployment in Wajir.
The event underscores KCGS’s outstanding performance on the national stage and is expected to boost morale, enhance institutional pride, and further solidify the organisation’s reputation for excellence in service to the nation.
The Director General KCGS joined H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, and other senior government officials for the 63rd Madaraka Day national celebrations held today in Wajir County.
Kenya Coast Guard Service formed part of the marching contingent during this landmark event — the first of its kind in the northern frontier region — which featured cultural displays, music, dance and speeches.
Under the theme “Education, Skills and the Future,” the Service reaffirms its commitment to a united, secure and prosperous Kenya, from territorial waters to national borders.
