Who said government buildings should be basic and aesthetically unappealing?
LASIMRA is boldly changing that narrative! From delivering consistent excellence in the past to now executing extraordinarily outstanding work, the Agency is setting a new benchmark with the ongoing construction of its iconic HQ, a project that masterfully blends functionality, innovation, and world-class aesthetics.
We are deeply grateful to His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu , The Executive Governor of Lagos State, for his continuous leadership and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the state.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to all stakeholders in the telecommunications industry for your dedication to compliance, which has made our regulatory work far more rewarding and impactful.
We eagerly look forward to the successful completion of this beautiful landmark project.
The Monitoring Team arrived at the location in Ikeja for the identification, inspection, and assessment of sagging cables.
FINDINGS
Inspection
Upon arrival at the location, the team carried out a thorough inspection and investigation of the sagging cables. It was discovered that the fibre cables had caused damage to two (2) vehicles. The cables were also obstructing the roadway and pedestrian movement, thereby posing a safety hazard to motorists, pedestrians, and residents within the area.
Identification
The team identified two (2) Internet (IXP) operators on the route, namely:
• Fibrenet @fibernetng
• FibreOne @FOBroadband
Assessment
The situation requires urgent attention to prevent further damage to property and to ensure the safety of road users and residents; which is one of the core responsibilities of @OfficialLASIMRA@followlasg

LASIMRA wishes to acknowledge reports received from concerned members of the public regarding sagging wires.
A passerby recently discovered a situation of this nature in ikeja and promptly filed a formal report. We are actively investigating all such incidents.
Have you seen people digging unperturbed in your area or office?
Have you seen sagging wires that’s a risk?
Send locations and images would be helpful.
@Mr_Elegushi@OfficialLASIMRA This project is a legacy project and a new era is about to unfold.
Moving away from leasing and owning the building then going digital is a sweet move that shows determination, accountability and commitment is a big plus
