Today, the Ghana Statistical Service released the Provisional GDP Estimates for the First Quarter of 2026 and the Monthly Indicator of Economic Growth (MIEG) for March 2026.
The data show that Ghana's economy expanded by 6.4% in Q1 2026, up from 6.2% a year earlier, while non-oil GDP grew by 6.3%, reflecting broad-based growth across the economy.
The March 2026 MIEG also recorded 5.4% growth, following strong growth performances of 6.1% in January and 7.7% in February, confirming sustained economic activity during the quarter.
Behind these numbers are the efforts of businesses, workers, farmers, public institutions, households, and communities across the country whose economic activities collectively shape Ghana's growth story.
