In Ghaziabad today, members of an organisation called Hindu Raksha Dal were seen distributing swords and other sharp weapons. They first set up a stall for this purpose and later moved around the locality handing out weapons, claiming it was to prevent a situation like the violence in Bangladesh.
After videos of the incident went viral, the @ghaziabadpolice registered an FIR against 16 named persons, including HRD president Pinky Chaudhary, along with around 30 unidentified activists. Ten of the accused have been arrested so far.
