The US government has no shame!!!

Country of particular concern my foot.

The US that has an average of 79 gun suicides a day, more than 50 gun related homicides daily and roughly 5 deaths daily due to gun accident is not categorizing itself as a country of particular concern.

Trump, you are voted in America, by Americans!!!

You can not use the old tactics of turning people against each other in Nigeria, it won’t work that way.

Divide and conquer? Take our resources? Turn us into refugees? I am sorry but you can go elsewhere.

We know we have our problems, killings of innocent Nigerians is true and absolute, but we will solve it ourselves and we require nobody to interfere with our internal affairs.

Nigerian, regardless of religion, ethnicity or any geographic characteristic must be protected by law and citizens alike.

I am just returning from the Custodial Center.

I was meant to re-interview just one person: remember the guy that got sentenced to death for defending himself against two armed robbers that attacked him?

Yes, today as scheduled for his further interview.

However, sequel to the said interview, the Officer in Charge, whilst on soft patrol, reached out to me and commended me for taking conscious effort to decongest the custodial center under his care. He was most impressed.

So, whilst at it, inmates without lawyers were referred to me.

I handful of them and some of those cases are worth sharing, after spending more than 4 hours [t]here.

1. Interviewed an inmate, let us called her EUO.
- She is 18 years old.
- Her father died when she was still a child (she is told).
- She hawks "agidi" and lives with her grandmother.
- Accused of armed robbery.
- She was arrested sometime in August 2024 alongside three men between ages 45 - 49 - all accused of armed robbery.
- When the police arrested, they tortured her to the point that she confessed to be an armed robber and wielding a gun.
-But at the Custodial center and during interview, she opened up that she never did any of those things: that it because:
1. the hung her upside down;
2. used lighter to burn her vagina;
3. tortured her until she could no longer endure the torture she received.

- One of the suspects arrested with her, who flatly denied being an armed robber, subsequently died at the police correctional center, owing to the torture meted on him at the Police Station.

- She was asked to produce 150k for her bail at the police station. But since she could produce the said 150k, she subsequently remanded.

- It is her case that she was prevented by the police from reaching her grandmother at all material time.

Her family is not aware of her whereabouts as I make this tweet.

I will be representing her pro bono.

She wasn't elected to make history as the first female VP but then turns out that's the only thing she achieved.

[sky @skylikeajedi]

@MatthewUSAF She made history as the first female VP.

And cast more tie-breaking votes than any other vice president.

Which helped pass bills such as the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 stimulus package and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Also here’s a real photo Matthew. 💛🇺🇸

If airfare is too pricey, go by train.
If petrol is no longer affordable, convert to CNG.
If you can't afford Coke at ₦500, drink water.
If French champagne is too costly, try zobo.
If pepper is scarce, plant it in your backyard.
If bread is overpriced, consider pap, ogi, akamu.
If DSTV is out of reach, reach for a book instead.
If restaurants increase prices, cook at home.
If your power bill is high, reduce your usage.
If data is expensive, use free mode more often.

As a people, we must learn to cut our coats according to our cloths, not our size. Economic challenges are a worldwide phenomenon. There is a hunger crisis in Britain, a homeless crisis in Canada, and a healthcare conundrum in the United States. It is not just Nigeria. Our situation in Nigeria is compounded by the loans Buhari took, which mortgaged our future oil sales. And since we in Nigeria cannot adjust economic realities to suit ourselves, we must adapt ourselves to suit economic conditions. We cannot keep borrowing to sustain fuel subsidy and defend the Naira.

Wishing you and your families a most prosperous New Year.
