This is Master Chisom Unachukwu. His students won first, second, and third positions at the 2026 South East Maths Olympiad.
He will be going to Rome today, all expenses paid by me, to watch his students challenge bright students from 154 other countries at the International STEM Olympiad.
There is hardly any competition he attends in the country where his students don’t win top 3 prizes. He has won every competition he attends in Nigeria.
He studied mathematics at UNILAG.
I’m rewarding his efforts and those of other teachers. The reward of teachers is here on earth too.
This is just the beginning, and the world will know him.

Their assignment is simple: bring home the gold.
This was written 13 years ago. It paints a very ugly picture and we either come to terms with it, or not.
Nigeria is bottoming out. A nation where the dream is to run away from it, or where the symbol of in country success is creating your own imprisonment (Guarded from point A to B in your amourd G wagon, with armed convoys following, like you are a prisoner, to ending your day behind high fences and layers of security, taking the names of visitors, like you are in prison. Of course, you gleefully cycle in Monaco once you are let out of prison occasionally.
This cannot be the trajectory of the next generation. God forbid!
Let me quietly log out of here before I spoil my week.
I've observed that each time a very serious discussion arises, they'll muddle the water with a very useless take and folks will argue endlessly till it degenerates into tribal and overshadows everything else.
These people have been out of touch for so long, and it is a marvel that they remain not only politically relevant but also charged with leadership. Nothing they have ever said makes sense, no matter how much sycophants try to whitewash it. Nigerian political discourse is largely an IQ test, with really no basis for debate.
The problem with giving all of this talk too much attention is that people get distracted from their true intentions and actions. The government’s local borrowing increased 75% in one year without any meaningful impact on the man on the streets. Those are the issues that deserve attention. They are stealing us blind and distracting us with rubbish conversations.
Talking about the olodo culture, there's a song that has always makes me ponder on the thought process of the movie makers and if they knew this generation of Nigerians would emerge or they engineered it to work out, like a lab project.

This is why I'll never stop being grateful to Alex Onyia. Also, the reason I can never take anyone who supported Buhari as a reasonable person, no matter what the person does or says now. I don't ever rate them.

The era that fought to reward intelligence and talent, and to make smart people famous.
Then Olodo Nation attacked, led by a men who either forged certificates or had no certificate at all.
And their Olodominions said “even if he presents a NEPA bill I will vote him”.
This is the olodo uprising we're talking about.
This girl had a niche. Always sounded so polished and put together in her interviews; until she decided to link up with peller because peller was racking up views
Now listen to the way she sounds like a motor park agbero. She couldn't influence peller. She couldn't polish peller. Rather, peller has her speaking and acting like him.
But through all this, she asked an important question: "your president nko? Did he go to school?"
I hope you all can now see why many of us fought tooth and nail to stop Tinubu from becoming president; but many others (and sadly highly educated people) supported him and helped him rig his way to the presidency.
Now, he has become a poster boy; one that boldly passes the message that not only do you not need education to achieve the highest office in the land, but you also do not have to worry about leading a life free of crime.
What Ycee refers to as Peller culture is actually Tinubu and APC culture
The attack on the education nerve Centre in Nigeria was heralded and is sustained by the APC because an educated populace is one that asks questions and demands accountability. An educated populace is one with the potential to revolt.
Therefore, they do their best to make sure people like peller and his like get platforms to keep showing impressionable naija youth that not only do they not need education, but also that they can make money by putting their foolishness on display; and by so doing, reduce the possibility of the government being held accountable by them.
The steep decline, rot, and decay in our educational system started the moment APC got into power.
Olodo uprising = APC uprising
@arinzemaduekwe@JohnFanimokun This isn't the case
This government forced POS operators to register with CAC even churches and what have you
After enforcing that, they now claim that new businesses sprang up as a result of their “macro” policies. A lot of those businesses have been there and are now struggling
Ngige was kidnapped as a sitting governor. Most of the maggots arguing don't know and those who, maybe, heard don't really realise how bad it was that a sitting governor was abducted - like the chief security officer of a state was abducted.
Those were the beasts Obi fought.
“I will negotiate with all who seek peace and confront those who seek conflict.” — Mr Peter Obi.
Data kids who are too young to know or remember how turbulent Anambra politics was before Peter Obi became governor should listen to Dele Farotimi for valuable historical perspective on Obi’s exploits in stamping out criminality and restoring stability in the state.
Exactly what the top guys know that most Nigerians don't know. As the governor of Anambra, man dey pursue criminals enter another state, unless the state government decides to shield the criminal. Once the state government is willing, Obi always acted accordingly.
The part he said "we will go after their businesses" made understand why people who are benefiting from this dysfunctional system doesn't want him as the president. 🤣🤣🤣
You misinformation agent
Lie 1: when did Obi resign from Fidelity bank? Correct answer: March 16, 2006
Lie 2: Was obi forced to resign? Correct answer: He resigned on March 16 so he can resume as the governor of Anambra state in March 17, so not forced

Greek mythology always leaves me pondering - it stuns me with the vivid pictures, then allows me to pick lessons.
So is the story of Antaeus. He was born of Poseidon and Gaia. Poseidon ruled over the seas, Gaia was the earth herself - the mother of Uranus.
Long before he was defeated by Heracles, Antaeus was always rumoured to be invincible. Stories recorded that Antaeus would wait at the entrance of Libya and force passersby to wrestle him - he always crushed them, piling their skulls so he could build a temple to his father, Poseidon.
This is where it gets interesting - he was only invincible as long as he maintained contact with Mother Earth. When Heracles eventually crushed him, Heracles did so by suspending him in the air, away from Mother Earth, crushing him in a bear hug.
In reflection, a lot of people have not been truly tested by the realities of the world because they have insulation. Insulation in systems, in parents, in their backgrounds. Just like Antaeus, the illusion of their strength is in contact with Gaia.
On the day Heracles decides to test your resolve, all it takes is for you to fall once, and if there is anything I know, it is the fact that a man who is used to standing and has never fallen will not be able to stand on the day he falls.
An extension of this conversation goes to parents who shield their children entirely from life's realities. You cannot apologise for having leverage in life, especially if your parents paved your way - but it is important to consistently stress-test how much of life you really can handle.
In the absence of the strength that grounds you, how do you survive?
