People do that in entry level jobs. but taking a slash wound to come back out for the last period of the game to try and win a single game is smth else. And NHL season including Finals run is approx 8 months.

The players becomes ruthless in the NHL Playoffs with a guy taking a skate to the face in 2023 and had over 70 stitches just to come back out to finish the game.
