President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his landslide victory in the state’s governorship election, describing the outcome as a clear endorsement of continuity, stability and people-centred governance. The President said Oyebanji’s re-election marks a historic milestone, making him the first governor in Ekiti State to secure back-to-back re-election.

Tinubu attributed the victory to the governor’s performance across critical sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, education, youth employment and rural development under the BAO agenda. He also commended Ekiti residents for a peaceful electoral process, praised security agencies for maintaining order, and urged INEC to sustain credible election standards ahead of the Osun governorship poll and the 2027 general election.
