Nigeria sells raw cocoa at $8,000 a tonne. Processed into butter it earns $48,000. Made into chocolate it earns $240,000. 30 times the money, yet Nigeria is still choosing $8,000.
If the UK truly doesn’t want us anymore, then maybe it’s time we start asking ourselves a serious question, why are we still here?
It’s getting tiring, honestly.
We keep saying Nigerians are brilliant, resilient, hardworking and it’s true. So imagine what would happen if we took that same energy, that same hustle, back home and used it to build something better.
Maybe it’s time we stop waiting to be accepted elsewhere and start focusing on fixing what belongs to us.
Nigeria is ours. The future is ours too.
If we can survive anywhere in the world, then we can definitely go back and make Nigeria work.
