A Year in the Life! 🌷

Throughout 2022, the Hood Bike Park meadow began to grow and bloom in late May, transitioned into a developed mix of perennials and annuals in August, and moved into dormancy in December.

A few weeks ago our installation team wrapped up work on a woodland transition restoration project in Ipswich.

The planting mimics the existing Oak-Hickory Forest to create a transition zone that will help restore the woodland edge over time.

Do you know about this 'floral star'? 🌟

Spotted in the Asa Gray garden of Mount Auburn Cemetery, the Tartarian Aster (Aster tataricus) has beautiful purple hues and tall, flowering shoots. The genus, “Aster”, Latin for star, describes the bursting star-shape of the flower.

As of July 2022, the Monarch Butterfly has been classified as Endangered! You can help by spreading Milkweed seeds! Milkweeds are native perennials that are critical to the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly.
