✍️ Bishop Auckland FC is delighted to announce the signing of Craig Moody.

Craig began his football career with Brandon United before earning a move to Shildon Reserves. After an impressive full season with the reserves, he progressed into the first team, where he featured during the club’s time in the Northern Premier League East.

Seeking more regular first-team football, Craig made the move to Willington, which paved the way for a switch to Crook Town. During four successful seasons at Crook, he netted more than 50 goals.

Last season, Craig joined our neighbours, West Auckland Town, where he played a key role in securing promotion, scoring a dramatic late penalty in the decisive match. His outstanding performances throughout the campaign also saw him named Player of the Season and Top Goalscorer at the club’s recent end-of-season awards.

Codge joined the Stripes in October last year and made an instant impact in our 4-1 win on the road to the Centurion League winners, Wythenshawe.

Ever since that night, Owen has been a mainstay in the starting 11 and was consistently one of our brightest sparks for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

We can’t forget his goal of the season against Barnoldswick Town either - I’m not sure anyone has ever struck a ball sweeter!

A product of the Just Football BTEC programme, Lewis was ever-present last season, not missing a single match and taking his appearance tally to 92 for the club. Along the way, he added a further 12 clean sheets to make it a total of 24.

Lee will once again trust Lewis to wear the captain’s armband for the 2026/27 campaign, a reflection of not only his importance at the heart of our defence, but also the leadership and commitment he brings to the squad as a whole.
