Portugal vs Spain tactical points🧵:
During the corners, Ronaldo takes his position either near the GK or near one of the posts. Wonder what happened to staying a bit away from the goal post, running and scoring those towering headers.
Yamal has been mediocre this world cup. He was brilliant in the Euros but don't know what happened in this tournament. Either he has been found out or the opposition teams have better plans for him.
Indian cricket will die a painful death in the next 5 years because of the following reasons:
1. Indian cricket journalists. All of them, almost all of them are shit. Forget technical analysis, all of them are always after who said what behind the scenes and without dropping any names. Right from Sports Tak to Rezvez Sports and that Tripathi. All of them are just digging grave of Indian cricket.
2. BCCI
3. Young Indian players and their PR.
@vikrantgupta73 If you want an honest feedback for your show then here it is:
Your panel has many free loaders who don't bring anything new/fresh in the discussion/debate. Get rid of them before you start seeing a sharp fall in your viewership.
I don't agree with 95% of the takes that @Nitin_sachin gives BUT it's his opinion and there's nothing wrong with that. He atleast puts his thoughts forward in the panel and agrees/disagrees with everyone. I don't want to comment on whether he is doing any PR or not.
Next thing I want to strongly recommend to you is to kick @rawatrahul9 out if you want this show to stay alive. I have been watching your show for the last couple of years and Rahul has never ever given a fresh take on the panel. You ask him a question and he goes on to speak for about 20 mins without any context and without answering the question. It's like an unprepared student has been asked to answer a question of 10 marks of which he doesn't have any clue. If you think I'm kidding, I can literally pull up his clips from every show and ask you to tell me where he has answered the question directly. Look at his tweets as well. Just repeating what has been said. What are we going to do with it? Am I watching your show to just get a recap of what has been officially said by BCCI? He repeats the same thing 10 times in a show.
That new guy Rishabh is better than Rahul Rawat. 10x times better.
Indian journalism, specifically sports journalism is dying. And if you want to know how and because of him. Just read and listen the content of @rawatrahul9. Gone are the days where you could survive in an organisation just because you had experience. Eventually the viewership and ratings would drop and you would be kicked out.
Keep yourself @vikrantgupta73, @Nitin_sachin , @NikhilNaz and probably Rishabh on the panel and kick everyone out before it's too late. Rahul might be your good friend @vikrantgupta73 but deep down you also know that he's been absolutely shit on the show. Even your fans can do better than Rahul. Khushi was 10x times better because she used to stick to her takes and to the point.
@rawatrahul9 - Just a suggestion - If you want to survive in this profession, change your approach. I am telling you the moment you get kicked out of your current organisation, you'll not find any work. There are 1000s of writers and upcoming journalists who can do a lot better than you.
🚨 LIVE FIGHT IN SPORTS TAK 🤯
- Vikrant saying Sanju Samson has been Dropped.
- Rahul saying he has been rested.
- Rahul Rawat yelling at Nitin Srivastava after he misbehaved with him in live show.
What is this fckall logic? He chose not to have a kid because of some issues which are totally unrelated to whether he can afford a kid or not. I feel sorry for the people who listen to you. This was my first and last video. Lack of comprehension skills. (FYI - You are also selling your so called explanations to poor/lower middle class).
@rawatrahul9 Write something which isn’t mentioned in the official post from BCCI? What kind of writing is this. Just repeating what the post from BCCI said. 😭
Length of the game is not the problem. Frequency of these games is a problem. What is happening with ODIs now, will happen with T20s as well in future. Where will cricket go then? Reduce the number of games every country plays throughout the year. You don't need (especially India) to play cricket every month. Shut down for a couple of months in winters and for a month in summers after the IPL and give players a break. A short break from cricket will bring back the interests of the fans when the cricket season begins. ^Hope you raise this point in your agenda tonight.
Things which ICC should do in cricket:
- Make T20 world cup happen every 4 years.
- Get rid of Champions Trophy.
- T20 world cup and ODI world cup should be scheduled 2 years apart. For example, if ODI world cup is in 2027 then T20 world cup should be in 2029 and the next ODI world cup should be in 2031.
- Make ODI bilateral series interesting. Give them points weightage so that the top 4 or 6 teams automatically qualify for the world cup and the rest go through qualifiers or something.
Thomas Tuchel is the man built for the knockout stages. Back in 2021 when Chelsea appointed Thomas Tuchel mid season after sacking Frank Lampard, I had 0 expectation from Tuchel. Honestly had never heard that much of him before. But oh how he took charge in the middle of the season and transformed how Chelsea played.
He went on to win the Champions League for Chelsea in 2021. Had beaten Real Madrid and Manchester City in semi-final and final. Absolutely bullied Real Madrid in that semi-final in both the legs with a front three of Werner, Mount and Havertz. Look where these players are now and how they are playing.
And mind you at that time Madrid had Benzema and Modric still playing for them.
Gareth Southgate on the other hand made England players play some boring football in the world cup. Almost every other game that England played under Southgate was either 0-0 or a scrappy 1-0 win.
Tuchel has changed that forever. His plan A might not be the best plans in the world but his ability to adapt and change things tactically is one of the best qualities and better than any other manager in the world.
Tuchel has beaten Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti and many other managers.
England from the last 3-4 major tournaments always used to get eliminated in the knock out stages. And for that they got Thomas Tuchel onboarded who is the best in the game for knockout stages.
I'll not be surprised if England goes on to win the World Cup 2026. That's what my instinct and pattern suggests.
Had a GP appointment this morning and everyone at work thought I was out because of last night’s game.
But what a game though. Appointing Thomas Tuchel as England head coach will go down as one of the best decisions made by England in football.
