@the_moviebob Oh wow, I'd forgotten they'd rebooted Hellboy. Those originals are like Richard Donner's Superman in that nobody is ever going yo do better
@the_moviebob I remember how often Buckley hung lampshades on his own clownish antics via his work, which is the main reason this strip was treated a Durden-esque insertion of Clockwork Orange into an SNL routine
@JoePostingg It wasn't "fine", it was a tonal bowl blocker that no place being told by a clown with a webcomic. And I say this as someone who was actually a fan in the early days
@InnuendoStudios I rarely come to twitter anymore, but it's good to see that you're active and (hopefully) healthy π may you continue to be both π
The ultimate endgame goal of any creative in any medium, is to not have one of your works become the equivalent of the one that spawned the loss meme

@brokenbottleboy@SoozUK It should, but it doesn't. Her critics are convinced that because of their whiteness and their love of king and country, they're immune to everything. They can't see a time where the far right will arbitrarily decide to remove their citizenship too, just as swiftly
Remeber Mel Gibson's Apocalypto? I can't be the only one who feels it's little more than mean-spirited trash? And also the worst kind of bad movie; the kind where the creative vacuum of a director feels like they actually nailed it
@InnuendoStudios I've preferred pepsi as long as I've known how to have a preference. When I'm behind the bar and I inform customers that our house mixer is pepsi or pepsi max, not coke or diet coke, an alarming number respond with "meh, same difference" π΅π΅π΅ noooope
It's the same problem we had with Joker, which was set in the time where the American government was openly allowing AIDS victims to die because they considered it as "divine punishment", but the movie settles with "some white guys are mad at stuff for reasons"
Madame Web was enjoyable enough, but I'm a little disappointed they set a movie in 2003, in NYC, had several characters be seasoned paramedics, and never once had anyone mention or make reference to the still fresh scars left by 9/11 #madameweb
@ScottMendelson The same gamergate veterans who hate this movie are probably more than happy to defend Venom and Morbius. It's hard to know why, I'd have to think about that a while
