My brothers and sisters, let’s talk.
If you were keen yesterday, you must have noticed something strange. Some famous reporters, news anchors and even some once presidentail candidate to be suddenly started defending the Ruto govt, saying 'the Cybercrime Act isn’t a threat, that its necessary.'
Now, I’m not here to attack anyone. Everyone has a right to opinion and speech, that’s what democracy is.
But did you also notice how their tone and wording all sounded the same? Like they were reading from the same script? From yetserday and even today
Listen, my people, this Cybercrime Act is dangerous.
Whether it was passed today or in 1950, it gives govt and police the power to twist your tweets, your posts, your voice, and label it “a threat to peace.”
You see how risky that is? That means any of us can be silenced for simply speaking the truth.
And if you look closely, you’ll see how they even picked panels with people who complain about being criticized online, then used them to justify this law. It’s a setup.
My brothers and sisters, this is how the ruto govt operates.
They have some radio presenters, influencers, and bloggers in their pockets. People who sometimes act like they oppose govt, but when pressure builds, they suddenly start defending it, or distracting you with useless stories about breakups or celebrity gossip.
Maybe I’m wrong, maybe it’s a coincidence, but the pattern is too clear.
Let’s not lose focus.
Stay alert. Stay awake.
✊🏽 Reject the Land Act.
✊🏽 Reject the Privatization Act.
✊🏽 Reject the Cybercrime Act.
These laws don’t protect us, they’re designed to silence us.
And when that silence comes, it won’t start with "them."
It’ll start with you and me.
