I have been writing this opinion piece about grief, motherhood, fertility, queer parenting & finding joy ever since I was diagnosed with cancer last year. What a release to have it in the @globeandmail as I end treatment (hopefully forever). #MothersDay https://t.co/NjFIKzv26G
Affirmative action was never a complete answer in the drive towards a more just society. But for generations of students who had been systematically excluded from most of America’s key institutions—it gave us the chance to show we more than deserved a seat at the table.
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision, it’s time to redouble our efforts.
"Bell, what is your plan?...What will you do not just for Lisa but for us all." I joined many others in signing this open letter in @globeandmail to Bell Canada about @BellMediaPR's "business decision" to fire Lisa LaFlamme in prime of her career. Have a read & RT if you support.
@FordCanada can you kindly tell me why I am being asked to drive a vehicle (with a newborn and a toddler) - that you’ve informed me needs a new engine - for 8-12wks? No rental has been offered even though I’ve paid for one through my extended warranty. (1/2)@cbcmarketplace
@osnapitznay_ Agreed! But I think her mum did pass away. Because the whole random episode with the mum getting screened for cancer was so out of sorts. The storyline happened for a reason. I think Helen’s mum died unexpectedly, hence the “this day has been…” text msg to Max. #Sharpwin
@ImagineCreated Something big (perhaps Mina or her mum died) must have happened to Helen.
Remember the text she sent to Max… “this day has been…”. Something awful happened. #shapwin#NewAmsterdam
@tbilley I’m thinking maybe her mama or Mina died so she couldn’t get on the plane. Her text did read, “this day has been…will call you ASAP”. Something big/bad happened to her for sure.
Indigenous women face a disproportionate level of violence in Canada. Today we honour #MMIWG2S.

Happy #dayofpink! Today educators, students and communities are wearing pink to show solidarity and stop bullying, homophobia, transphobia & transmisogyny. #onpoli#onted
Inspiration from a remarkable Nobel Prize laureate: Martin Luther King Jr.
King was assassinated on 4 April 1968, but his non-violent fight for freedom, justice and human rights is as relevant today as it was then.
