Tunde didn’t plan to fall for her.

It started with small things the way she said “good morning” before anyone else in the office, how she always helped everyone without complaining, how her laughter carried even on stressful days.

He paused. “I will.”

She laughed it off, but Tunde meant it.

There was just one problem Ada was married.

NEPA had taken light, his phone battery was dying, and his boss was already calling him non-stop.

He checked his phone. No data. No airtime. No way to even step out.

Ada noticed his frustration.

She smiled. “You’re welcome, Tunde.”
