She was just a baby. Someone's baby who was sent to the home of trusted relatives in a quest for a better future. The horror she faced is a direct slap in the face of every Nigerian. They must be made to answer for their crimes. #justiceforochanya#justiceforochanya
As a woman, a doctor, a christian and as a human being, I stand against child marriage. This vicious and horrific practice does not deserve a place in the modern society. It is wicked and it is wrong.

Every now and then, the topic of child marriage comes up and we get the opportunity to speak up again for the girl child. Working as a doctor in Nigeria places you in close proximity to observe the crippling damages of child abuse in different forms.

Every girl child deserves to live free, to be cared for and given the opportunity to grow into an adult with the right to choose. As a woman in the medical field, I get to see everyday what a tragedy my life could have become if I wasn't protected as a child.
@OurFavOnlineDoc THIS IS IT! So many people are way too damaged or selfish to see the movie for what it is. May we have the financial means to express our love for the right people.
I’ve seen the movie and it’s beautiful. Odogwu Obiora is a rich confident man. Beyond the wealth, there’s a few things to say:
Love doesn’t fear. Love doesn’t think the worst. Love is not selfish. Love is sacrificial. Love is extravagant- when it has the means. Love continues to give its best- even when it doesn’t have.
There’s a difference between using money to buy love and using money to express love. It takes only an intelligent person to know the difference.
One thing is for sure: Love is not stupid.
But love is pointless if it is not sacrificial and love is worthless if it is not a love that gives and gives until it can give no more.
Always remember that.
I'll tell you what scares me the most. It is the fact that several older colleagues who are in the position to fight for a change in the system are quiet, enabling the issues or even creating bigger problems.
The audacity to add megaphone to a highly ignorant statement.
One that shouldn't come from a doctor or anybody that has had access to formal education for heaven's sake.
@Nigerian_Doctor@muhammadpate House Officers are already overpaid compared to the general population of graduates…or people in a similar level in the civil service. 📣
