@theoneTWUEway the “trans ideology” that you speak of is that trans people should be allowed to transition, live happy and fulfilling lives, and be able to exist in public life
saying this should be eradicated is tantamount to saying trans people should be
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad other that missing out on it’s relation to wage labour, that definition is still a lot closer to my definition than your original one in which everyone owns capital.
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad if you don’t like that (like me), then you have a fundamental problem with capitalism itself.
it’s not just a nitpick, or a bug, or something that could be reformed away. it’s a fundamental aspect of the foundations of capitalism.
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad maybe that’s not the “ideal government” that you have in your head, but what i gave you is the function of the capitalist state.
you might not like it, but that is how it operates at a fundamental level.
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad that is the definition of capital!
and it’s a much more accurate and useful definition than yours which was effectively “anything someone may own or have”
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad those who have real access to real capital want a state to exist to enforce property regulations to protect their capital against workers and competition.
they don’t want “free market”.
they want a strong state to intervene in the market on their behalf.
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad capital is more than just “stuff”. it’s not just money, health, smarts, or even stocks. it’s wealth that is used to generate more wealth through the exploitation of labour. it’s a social relation very few have real access to.
@DuaneKnesek@NordickChad actual capitalists (i.e. people who own capital) like having a state to protect their property and create monopolies.
if a state didn’t exist to do that then capitalists would create one.
there is no capitalism without a state. it has never existed and never will!
@therealelvez@owenjonesjourno i know it’s ment to be a topic category, but i love that the screenshot kinda looks like epstein wrote the article in defence of himself, mandelson, and streeting
@DurnionStephen@____iona____ debating/implementing policies that restrict our access to healthcare, facilities, and jobs resulting in a reduction in our ability to earn money, access housing, and live happy & healthy lives is in fact a threat to our existence.
