Yes, Gen Z is witty, creative, and all that. But their collective anger against the establishment and Modi isn’t arbitrary. It is the consequence of being suddenly exposed to very powerful anti-establishment narratives on social media, especially Instagram- which is clearly Gen Z’s most preferred medium of social media.

It is only a matter of time before Modi & Co. figure out how to capture the political space on Instagram, just as they successfully did with Facebook and WhatsApp, and begin steering the narrative back in their favour.

Gen Z is fickle.
