@NHLRumourReport If this is what the trade looks like and doesn’t have like two actual NHL caliber players or first round unprotected picks and an actual top 6 forward in it I will boycott hockey for the rest of my life.
@Dmedo81@HockeyWithDevin A ton of players of Larkin’s caliber play into their 40s. Look at Kane he’s got basically a new hip and he’s still at it and will likely still be out there at 40 if I had to guess.
@JimCosta_@AdamLizyness Which doesn’t mean Yzerman is off the hook. I think he should’ve been fired last year after failing to make a move at the deadline, but let’s not act like Larkin played his heart out and inspired his team to outwork their struggles, either. Even in the previous years Raymond
@sabers_chatter@BraytonJWilson lol Power is not even in the same universe as Seider. Seider is already the best defensive defenseman in the league and it’s not close and Seider is better offensively as well.
He’s continued the legacy of taking skilled offensive players and bogging them down with defensive responsibility and forcing them to be two way forwards. When he should spend picks and prospects he doesn’t, except once and they refused to go as far as necessary when they did.
My issue with Yzerman has always been he’s been half in half out with the rebuild. We got lucky with Raymond and Seider, they forced his hand, but he’s blocked Cossa(who wants to leave) every step of the way by trading for like 6 different goalies, let prospects over-ripen.
@VMI1538184@stevemiller24 Larkin wouldn’t have been half the player Yzerman was even if he’d played in the 80s lol. Might put up 40 goals instead of 30z
God damn man, had to block PWHL Detroit cause they keep showing up in my feed and I have less than no interest. I barely have any interest in the NHL club at this point why would I want to do this again with an awful expansion franchise
@tmatthewshockey If they trade for futures or prospects who aren’t ready to line up on an NHL 1st or 2nd line come September/October then they should fire Yzerman in the same announcement as the trade because we cannot allow him even a single year more to miss the playoffs.
