A Lawrence father who made headlines in 2022 for jumping a fence to save a drowning 4-year-old is now asking the community for help as his battle with cancer has left him paralyzed.

@KSHB41 In May of 2022 Thomas was able to save the life of a local boy with autism. The young boy had snuck under a fence and fallen in to the community pool. Thomas was alerted by his son Maddox and scaled the fence to save the boy.

Unfortunately after many years of treatment the cancer spread all over his body and the worst has come to light. As of now Thomas is paralyzed from the chest down bound to a mobility chair.
