I criticize Pastors a few times but tbh this is not one of them if you're someone that has worked in mega church circles.
In every mega church are Partners that are usually not more than 100 or 200 total that take care of EVERYTHING financial. No, it's not your N100 offering that built Canaan Land in Ota.
This ~11m is an insult to someone like Bishop Oyedepo. It won't even impress Iren. 😆
Let's focus on better criticisms please.
I know you will say KK has come again, but I’ll say this. I think churches should have a department of beating! And the sacrosanct rule is that no one is above beating, not even the Pastor. The beating department should be under the counselling department.
"Do you know the influence Pastors have?"
You people are funny.
Pastors, Imams and other religious leaders can have all the influence they want
Do your who is in charge of your resources, money and land? Politicians and their business friends
Do you know who is responsible for making sure you street is conducive, clean and safe? Your politicians
You can arrest all the pastors and Imams and traditionalists in Nigeria and it won't affect the country positively because these people are not in charge of everything that is needed for the quality of your life to improve
The people in charge of your money and resources are. Fight them. Abuse them etc
Tell me your local government chairman in Obio Akpor or Calabar South, I will give you 100k to run a radio jingle criticizing them with your name attached
If frat men no tear your head the next morning slap me.
That is what you people are scared of. You people are cowards and are scared of the real people making your lives miserable. Na pastor wey most of them na church boys na him una dey get mouth for
Chickens
Do you know why Nigerians easily attack Pastors?
Because Pastors are soft targets
Have you seen the way the same Nigerians act when someone wants to attack Arthur Eze for example
They will say "Arthur Eze no dey forgive o. Take down that tweet o"
Have you seen how they act when someone attacks Otedola? They start reminding you how Otedola even had beef with Dangote and doesn't forgive
Meanwhile people like Otedola and Arthur Eze are more involved with the Political institutions messing up the country than any Pastor is
Ask Nigerians why why they don't attack their local government heads. Them dey fear. Because they know a local government chairman knows their house and will bully them
So what do the chickens do?
They attack any Pastor they can lay their hands on
You will leave the people you are supposed to attack constitutionally and be attacking a Pastor that has no direct responsibility for your political reality
Please, before releasing the “sound to the atmosphere” (as Nigerian worship ministers say), can you at least write down the lyrics and read them first?
Read them to yourself and read them out loud. Will it make sense just reading?
Your song should be able to bless the deaf too na. Selah.
Imagine doing sign language for 30mins and all the person is doing is “Ah! eh! Oh!”🤲🏻😭
I don’t even understand their logic at all but if we talk, they will always make it look like we are doing too much. I have even heard “you’re not Muslim enough”. Lol. 😂
If you claim to be a practicing Muslim, why are your children in a faith-based school? We have standard Muslim schools in Oyo State, Ibadan precisely. These schools produces some of the best students in the State and they have qualified teachers as well.
In fact, schools like CTY, TAAS college, TSPC, Front Model and many others that I can’t list offer Arabic, Islamic and western education. Your child will learn about the religion and learn how to read Arabic and memorize the Quran. These people will not register their children in those schools for reasons best known to them but they will go and register their children in a faith-based school and start complaining that their children are not allowed to use Hijab. They read the school admission form, signed and agreed to obey the school rules and regulations. So why are you suddenly an “active Muslim” complaining about Hijab being restricted to use Hijab?
If you really value Islamic teachings, your children should not even be in a Christian school in the first place. You will not see Christian kids in Muslim schools complaining that they’re not allowed to open their hair. Those ones understand the rules and will either not attend a Muslim school at all or they use Hijab and dress properly as required in Muslim schools. Ask Al-Hikmah students university about this.
We need to caution ourselves and stop playing victim all the time. Leave Christian schools and register your children in either a public school or private Muslim schools. We will support you if they restrict your child from using Hijab in a public school. But I will not advocate that Muslims should be allowed to enforce Hijab in faith-based schools. It’s unfair for Christians faithfuls to establish schools for the promotion of their religion and Muslims will go and register and try to compel them to accept Muslims. We Muslims will not accept that in our schools as well. Let’s be real and honest.
Thank you.
I used to criticize people who were devoted to their Christian faith.
Those who never wanted anything to do with secular music, random relationships and so many "normal" things an average human does all the time.
I thought they weren't free, that they are living in set out rules that are complicating their lives.
Not until i fell into deep struggles and was looking out for hope. That is when i encountered Jesus Christ.
I was lost, empty and wandering down a terrible path society told me to follow. I thought i was living in freedom, but my life was heading to death.
I was deep in lust and addictions, it almost ruined my life, but Jesus pulled me out of that pit.
Now i understand why they had to live that way. This is a life of peace and not every human can boast of it. Knowing Jesus is like holding an answer sheet next to your question paper.
My life changed entirely, and now I'm living clean with peace and understanding. Now all i want to do is protect my peace by all means, by rejecting whatever society presents.
I'm afraid I've become what i once criticized 😩
You hear feminism and think “Anti-men” because your entitled mind thinks a woman should exist for you. You do not see her an entity deserving of autonomy as you do. May God open your eyes.
Pardon?????
Any small thing, "Gen Z cannot relate".
Yen yen yen 😑😑
Do you people realize that Gen Z started from 1997?
Do you realize that the oldest Gen Z is almost 30 years old? And the youngest Gen Z is 14 years old .
If you want to call baby Shark do do, call Gen Alpha, because Gen Zs are NOT as young as you think they are.
I'm a Gen Z, I was very much aware of when the Five naira, Ten naira, Twenty naira and Fifty Naira notes were papers.
I knew when they changed it to the nylon that we now spend today.
I can vividly remember the time when they did Golden Jubilee for the #50 note.
I remember when a portion of pepper was #20, and when a cup of rice was #25 for long grain rice.
I remember when 5 eggs was #100. When Indomie was #30, when a cup of Garri was #10.
Yes, I'm a Gen Z and I remember.
Stop dragging us as if we just came into this world abeg.
No entiendo cómo puede ser. Vi a Michael Jackson morir, a Maradona morir, a Pelé morir, a la reina Isabel morir; vi pasar a tres papas.
Ask random Nigerians to describe themselves & most will call themselves smart.
Yet misinformation thrives, foolery is celebrated & competence is ignored.
An underdeveloped country is not created by leaders alone. If we’re all as smart as we claim, the evidence should be visible.
I see a lot of people even fellow christians saying things like “Adeboye Should come out and protest”. Protest how and why ?…his protest would make the soldiers get more motivation or what exactly would his protest yield ?. AT 84 year old he should come out and do what exactly.
First I need to state it once again that @PastorEAAdeboye never protested under President Jonathan, he came out on the 2nd of February 2020, obeying the directive of PFN and CAN for a National Prayer walk which other churches observed as well. That false narrative of him protesting under Jonathan is pathetic because some of us walked with him on the Streets of Ebute Meta just before the lockdown.
I’ve been seeing a false narrative going around of people saying @PastorEAAdeboye cancelled a protest, that is also false. PFN called for a 3 day prayer and rally, which @PastorEAAdeboye directed the Admin department of the church to follow as that was the directive of PFN. but when PFN said people should not protest in different locations but gather for prayers at state secretariats and hold the prayers in their churches, the RCCG Admin also released another circular updating members about the new developments as stated by PFN, so why the evil narrative that Adeboye called off the protest ?
We need to understand that the enemies have us exactly where they want us to be which is for us to be divided and insult those who have been appointed as Gatekeepers.
These evil doers carry out their evil, chanting praises to their god and even observe religious holidays and all, but we are not directing our anger to their Imams and their leaders. If their religion is truly a religion of peace, their leaders must take responsibility, start speaking up, lead protests because these evil people are also giving their religion a bad name.
The Government is responsible for security of lives and property not Pastor E.A. Adeboye !
This is the fundamental difference between our faiths, and it’s worth naming precisely.
Christianity does not sanitize its heroes. David committed adultery and orchestrated murder. Abraham lied, twice. Moses, the greatest prophet in the Torah, was barred from the Promised Land because of his disobedience. The Israelites, God’s chosen people, spent forty years in a desert that should have taken eleven days because they kept refusing to learn. And yes, the disciples were slow, faithless, and at times outright dense. Jesus said so himself. “Do you still not understand?” this is not manufactured commentary, Jesus literally said that.
That is not also a flaw in the Bible. It is the entire theological architecture. Scripture is not a hall of fame. It is a record of broken, ordinary, sometimes stupid human beings through whom God works anyway. The emphasis is never where they started. It is always where grace took them. Remove the humanity of the disciples and you gut the miracle of Pentecost. You cannot appreciate the transformation if you refuse to acknowledge what was there to be transformed.
What you are calling disrespect, we call honesty. What you are calling abasement of the prophets, we call the precondition for grace.
Now, since we are on the subject of piety, I find it remarkable that a tradition so publicly devoted to protecting the honor of prophets has produced, by empirical measure, the highest rates of religiously justified violence globally. That child marriage remains legally and theologically defended in numerous practicing Muslim-majority nations. That your own classical jurisprudence permits a husband to physically discipline his wife, a position found not in fringe interpretation but in the mainstream texts.
You do not have the standing to condemn a man for calling the disciples slow learners. And even if you did, the moral authority required to issue that condemnation is not something your tradition has demonstrated. Spare us the performance.
