Having an Assistance Dog (in training) has given me so much more freedom. There's a sense of safety & protection that no partner could ever give.
I've been able to go shopping, go on hikes, be more social. Hardwork to train buy 100% worth it. 🐶

@Bobby_Seagull It's standard in the UK to thank the bus or taxi driver, it's so ingrained that I even say it when I get off the train and there's no one there to thank. 🙈

I wonder if no one counter-protested & public avoided the areas & if no one gave them any attention, if the far-right would just get bored & toddle off. They really do seem like babies having a tantrum feeding off the attention tbh.

Nothing against self ID if they actually fit the criteria, but there's something irkful about people thinking that having quirky interests like bugs, sharks, art, history etc makes you ND. Neurodivergence is disabling, it's not being quirky. It's exhausting.

My "superpower" is struggling to maintain friendships due to not understanding ppl, getting over & under stimulated & feeling *too much* whilst being "too open" online & irl whilst surrounded by ppl who self ID because they think it's quirky to be ND or bc they like bugs.

@Eyeswideopen69 Saying that, many home schooled teens I've met have been able to focus more than in a classroom. I often wish that were available to me.
Maybe that's what she needs? There are online classrooms with 1 - 1 where she can focus on whatever subjects she wants.

I disliked having a social life at her age as my special interests was education. And I'd get sensory overload socialising too much tbh.

Don't shame her, clearly she enjoys education, no harm in that.

There's a reason why I no longer participate in many protests. The same protestors who object the police will say they can't ban a s**ual predator unless the police have him on record.

You cant truly love your pets and smoke around them. So many ppl who put their furbabies at risk by not just going outside.
We had a dog that we adopted from a local flat, who ended up dying due to a hole in her lung that was only there because her previous owners smoked.
