A reminder of the real reason why Gary Lineker was targeted all these months and eventually forced out of the BBC.
He publicly gave a shit about the people of Gaza.
We are expected to be good Americans and look the other way as Israel prevents food, water, and medicine from reaching the remaining people of Gaza. Israel is literally starving them to death…We must speak out and demand a change in policy. We can’t be complicit in starving kids to death.
GARY LINEKER ON ISRAEL AND ANTISEMITISM
“It's not antisemitic to say what lsraeI is doing is wrong. I cry on a regular basis when i see certain images.”
The BBC just forced Gary to resign for being “antisemitic”
Shout out to Gary Lineker who stands with humanity.
In 48 hours, over 200 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza.
Keir Starmer’s government still won’t condemn Israel or call it genocide. Won’t end arms sales. Won’t impose sanctions. Won’t stop trade.
This isn’t just complicity, it’s collaboration. They have blood on their hands.
Today, over 100,000 Dutch citizens formed a red line in The Hague to protest against the violence in Gaza and the Dutch cabinet’s stance on Israel’s war crimes. Prime Minister Schoof refuses to draw a red line — so the people drew it themselves.
When lsraeI bombed the first hospital in Gaza, the world wouldn’t believe it and Israel blamed a misfired rocket from Hamas.
lsraeI has now destroyed all 36 hospitals in Gaza including its largest, the al-Shifa Hospital.
THIS IS A GENOClDE 💔
The BBC will sack Lineker for his humanity but pay Chris Mason and Laura Kuenssberg eye watering sums to rim Tories and push a right wing agenda.
We urgently need press reform.
There's not a single bad bone in this man's body. We must celebrate good people, good men and Gary Lineker is one of them. An inspiration and a role model to millions. Hold your head high @GaryLineker
Standing for justice is a noble value. One that good people appreciate 🙏🏽
Gary Lineker was born and grew up in Leicester, just like me, working class. He saw what I saw. He rightly champions refugees and highlights injustice.
When a Genocide is ongoing, he is right to speak up.
He’s not just Leicester’s favourite son, he is our national football hero
Also the utter double standards applied to @GaryLineker compared to, say, Andrew Neil. Neil didn’t retweet something carelessly. He used grossly misogynistic language, refused to apologise & faced no sanction or detriment.
British broadcaster and football legend Gary Lineker:
“It's not antisemitic to say what lsraeI is doing is wrong. I cry on a regular basis when i see certain images.”
The BBC has just forced Gary to resign for being “antisemitic”
Gary Lineker is a good man, a national treasure, a role model.
Being forced out of MOTD because he’s horrified by war criminals murdering kids (in a war the BBC refuses to cover without fear and favour) is enraging.
The BBC allows free speech, but only if you’re right wing.
I think @GaryLineker is a brave and principled man.
He cares deeply about children being starved by Netenyahu . About the vast numbers of innocent people that have been killed without justification. So many children. His views are in line with Amnesty. He is kind and decent.
A channel wants rid of a man of principle who dares to champion the oppressed, the vulnerable & the downtrodden whilst falling over itself to give a voice to fascist Farage & Tice at every possible opportunity.
