All I have to say is cherish your loved ones and I mean like actually cherish them because things can change in the blink of and eye…. Their are so many things I wish I could have told my dad before he died and I wasn’t able too… I’m just happy he knew how much I loved him.
Life is just so fucking unfair… it’s been a little over a year that he’s been gone and I have yet to fully accept it. It’s going to take time and a lot of self-reflection, but I know one day I will make peace with it.
I think of how happy he would have been to find out I was expecting. He loved my nephew so much and I just know he would have had that exact same love for my baby….
Still can’t look at pictures/videos of my dad the day my nephew was born… just knowing he won’t be there the day my baby is born is so heartbreaking 💔as my due date approaches I think of how happy/excited he would have been…
I genuinely fell for someone when I wasn't searching for love, I was searching for peace. I was searching for myself and found a friend who became the love of my life. Sometimes you need to focus on growing yourself and you'll run into what's destined for you.
Then take it to your therapist who is paid to sit and just listen. The people in your life are more than likely trying to relate to you to show empathy or ease your mind and most of y’all’s response is to be snotty about it on the internet and I do not understand it.
Give thanks for those who nourished, nurtured, and loved you whether they were your mothers or others who chose to show up for you.
May we each experience the gift of being poured into and accepted as we are. And may we have the compassion and opportunity to pour into others.
