“Expensive and time-consuming”?
Show us the evidence.
Because every state that’s changed the PA title reports the same thing:
No added cost.
No burden.
No downside.

It's always worth fact-checking opposition claims so legislators have the truth, not assumptions or invented statistics. And when an organization like the "Ohio Health Policy Alliance" cited in testimony has no website and no public registration it raises real questions.
#OhioPAs
"Physician Associate" reinforces exactly what PAs do under Ohio law:
collaborate w/ physicians to deliver safe, efficient patient care everyday.
Updating our title brings Ohio in line with national terminology w/o changing scope, authority, or regulation.

Opposition today will claim we can’t use the title physician associate because associate physicians exist. But they don’t exist in Ohio, and they’re not a nationally recognized profession.
PAs are a nationally recognized, standardized, and fully licensed profession.
#OhioPAs
Since there might be some confusion about the term associate going around this week, let's clear it up:
Physician Associate does NOT mean equal to or replacing physicians.
It's about clarity, not hierarchy.
In many professions, "associate" refers to a colleague, not the top role.
Today, we honor Veterans Day.
This is a time to recognize the brave men and women who have served our nation and the deep connection between military service and the roots of the PA profession.
Thank you to all who have served and protected our country. #OhioPAs
PAs, we show up for our patients every day. Let’s show up at the ballot box too. The policies that shape our profession and our communities depend on who we elect. No matter your politics, your vote matters.
Show up. Speak up. Vote.

It was all smiles in Ohio this week! 🥳 About 100 PAs and students gathered for their lobby day to advocate for their profession and push for title change! Their advocacy is helping shape the future of PA practice in Ohio. 👏 @OhioPAs
It’s #PAWeek! Ohio’s 6.7K PAs are delivering high-quality care statewide, while OAPA advocates to protect their practice and educate lawmakers on their impact. With 17 PA programs, one of the highest in the U.S., Ohio is training a workforce ready to meet growing healthcare needs
During #PAWeek, we celebrate the skill, dedication & compassion of PAs across Ohio.
The proposed title change (HB353) from Physician Assistant to Physician Associate, better reflects who we are: nationally certified medical professionals providing high-quality, collaborative care
The OAPA continues its celebration of PA Week with its official recognition by Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel, who have issued an official proclamation honoring the contributions of Ohio’s PAs!

Make tax breaks prove their worth. Trimming just 10% of Ohio’s $12B in giveaways could fund rural clinics, attract providers, and give relief to small businesses & working families.
Smarter policy = healthier communities. #ruralhealthcare#ohio
