I am excited to lead this organization into the future and focusing our mission and vision where the @OhioNursesAssoc continues to be the voice of nurses in Ohio.
I've worked as a nurse in several capacities - from charge nurse, to a genetics nurse consultant, to the Chief of Prevention at ODH , to the Director of Programs at the @OhioNursesAssoc. Now I am retired, though I still teach leadership courses to graduate nurses.
I am passionate about nursing because nursing is at the heart of patient-centered care. With our distinct set of skills, we make a difference in the lives of our patients everyday.
Tonight is my last night as @OhioNursesAssoc President. Again thanks for your support, I am humbled and honored to have served in this capacity for the past two years. Tomorrow I will sign off of this Twitter handle and it will be transferred to the next @OhioRNPresident
Nurses might not always agree but it is still important to support each other. We need to have the backs of all nurses not only is this state but in this country and actively supporting the ONA staff that helps us to achieve or mission and vision. We are in this fight together.
Safe travels to those who are making their way to the Nurses Association Convention today, tomorrow and over the weekend!

This Sunday at the conclusion of @OhioNursesAssoc convention this Twitter page will be handed over to the next ONA President. I can still be followed @Ortho_NP.
HB 144 Opponent testimony has been rescheduled for October 9th. We need to pack that hearing room to show this bill IS important for Ohio’s nurses and their patients! Mandatory overtime and unsafe staffing IS a problem that needs fixed in our state!
Grateful for the pleasure of joining @rweingarten for incredibly dynamic dialogue with @RWJF Health Policy Fellows. Looking forward to reconnecting with these amazing people, all devoted to making healthcare better. This awesome token of appreciation though. 👍 @AFTHealthcare
