Warren Buffett already wrote down what happens to his money when he dies.
90% goes into a simple index fund. Not hedge funds. Not stock pickers. Not the people who charge the big fees.
In the video below, he explains why he doesn't trust the people who get paid to give financial advice.
His words: "There's a lot more money in selling than in managing."
The industry makes money when you buy and sell. An index fund makes you money when you do nothing. Nobody gets rich advising you to buy the S&P 500 and wait, so almost nobody tells you to do it.
Buffett said one more thing most people skip. If you can't handle watching your money drop, you shouldn't own stocks. You'll buy and sell at the wrong time.
He doesn't know if stocks go up next year. He knows they work over 20 or 30 years.
Would you trust a simple index fund with your money, or do you think you can beat it?
