Helped a Singaporean tourist who seemed lost at a train station because he didn’t have cash and he thought he could use NFC to take the trains. Exchanged yen for Singapore dollars to allow him to buy tickets. ��

JR East has released more details on the Oimachi redevelopment, now named ‘Oimachi Tracks.’ It will feature TOHO Cinemas, Oakwood Serviced Apartments, and Hotel Metropolitan, among other attractions. The opening is set for March 2026.

These 2 new buildings, set to open in late 2025, will change the face of Oimachi forever. The one in front will be a hotel and a tower ‘mansion.’ The one behind will be an office building. The lower floors will feature an outdoor mall, and possibly even a movie theater.
