@joelbasson@dieworkwear (ok realistic math it's a little less than twice, but still unachievable.
studios are ~1400 in that area and my parents mortgage is ~900/month)
@joelbasson@dieworkwear I'm 26. My dad was 22 when they bought their first house (my mom is older though). My sister is 20 and works full time and can't even afford to move out- every studio apartment in their town is twice the price of what my parents pay for their mortgage (in an HOA neighborhood).
@PepeLeQQ @bfwebster@dieworkwear you look like the kind of loser who would kicked out of your youth pastor position for sending creepy messages to minors.
@joelbasson@dieworkwear Saying all of this to point out that I don't think you realize "young" is not the issue here. The world you experienced as a 20-something is not what's available to us today. We're not jealous of what you have now. We're jealous of the opportunities you had to get where you are.
@dieworkwear@joelbasson my parents bought their first house working as regular employees at kroger. my dad only has an associates degree and supports his family on 1 income because he did an apprenticeship as an architect (a career which now requires a masters)
@dieworkwear@joelbasson I work 65+hours at two jobs and rent is difficult. I was out of work for 3 weeks due to an accident and my credit score is still tanked from that. I can't even afford a car.
It's embarrassing to have 2 jobs and still have to ask my parents for financial help.
@bfwebster@dieworkwear missionary.
so you lived on vacation for 2 years on someone else's dime and harassed the local population to make yourself feel like a savior.
ew.
@SHAVA787 @Alphafox78 girl what delusional reality do you live in where your neighborhood is remotely walkable and there are places for kids to go that don't cost $40 just to hang out in
*this is about white bitches naming their children shit like Addylynn or Braxton or Kailleigh*
if you're a POC I usually just assume I'm in the wrong and ask respectfully
y'all gotta stop naming your kids like they're the main character in a dystopian novel. I, the barista, do not have the brainpower to try to spell that correctly and there's no way the Chosen One orders an Oatmilk Caramel Macchiato
@irisheyezsmile2@prochoicewoman7@AllenPh93102601 so, you're okay with paying tax dollars for that kid to go in the foster system but not for its parents to raise it? make it make sense.
also hospital bills and adoption legal fees cost money babygirl
I recently got a new air conditioner and I cannot tell you how long the guy tried to sell me a smart thermostat.
"I literally want the dumbest thermostat you have. Mechanical if they still make them."
"But.."
"No."
@ldsfootnotes in many jewish interpretations, Abraham failed G*d by not challenging them, which is why we don't see g*d speaking to Abraham afterwards.
