Mike Dean, the controversial former Premier League referee, has said that he used to play secret games during matches, such as seeing how long he could go before blowing his whistle.

Appearing on Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party podcast, Dean claimed that he once went more than 20 minutes in a Premier League match without blowing his whistle and once managed to not leave the centre circle for about 15 minutes.
