Palantir CTO provides a clear framework for how Palantir views the AI tech stack from chips, models, AI infra, AI apps and where the profit pools will ultimately lock in. He believes that foundational models are being commoditized. Vertical AI applications are scrambling to build infra because point-solutions cannot scale across complex enterprise use cases. He also believes that value will aggressively accrue in only two layers: Chips and AI Infrastructure, or Ontology. Palantir’s business strategy is to entrench themselves at the Ontology layer. They believe whoever builds the connective tissue between raw models and proprietary enterprise data holds the ultimate pricing power.
