Thank you to @JamesCopnall and the @BBC team for hosting me. In case you missed it, here's my conversation with #TheInterviewBBC where I speak about bridging the gap between international politics and the needs of local people around the world.
“I do not want the United Nations of New York, Geneva or Vienna to be an ivory tower, a diplomatic ivory tower. I want to see the UN not of power and privilege, but the UN of service and impact. That is the UN I want to see"

My brother @adoniaayebare, apart from the need to discuss this matter more seriously to determine where we stand as a country, there’s no need to parrot @marcorubio. We all have our reservations about these organizations. At one time I thought the arrest warrants by the ICC against the LRA leaders were undermining peace talks.
But above all, the timing of this statement kills Ambassador @Olara_Otunnu’s campaign for UN SG. He believes in international law and the role of international organizations to defend the weak against the strong. It cannot be the country promoting his candidacy to start publicly denouncing an international organization to which Uganda belongs voluntarily (unlike the US).
Now when Olara Otunnu’s campaign dies, your fingerprints will be all over the murder weapon! Like you have always told me when I post something which is in the kitchen but not ready to be served: We need to talk!
