Created this animation that shows a model i've been building that shows travel time + how much time we lose due to bottlenecks on the major arteries moving from Kamplala to the border/ oil region.

Modelled a loaded truck on open road and same truck on road with bottlenecks.

@charlesgava_256 This is brilliant, Charles. I’m sure once this is open for public use, it will come in handy for estimators and other professionals.

Twenty-four years of service leaves a trail.

for my 29th Visit while at @Rotary_Bugolobi , I saw a club that has stayed close to its community through monthly child immunisation outreaches, NCD awareness campaigns and medical camps. But I also asked them to look inward: what keeps people connected to this club, and what makes them want to stay?

Their US$2,000 commitment to The Rotary Foundation and another US$2,000 to PolioPlus says something about their heart for service.
Now let’s make the club experience just as strong.

Who will win the 1st Corporate Circuit at Kyambogo?

[Okwairwoth Pius @OkwPius]

Don’t try this unless it's a temporary structure coz the maintenance cost will be a big issue in long run. And also the thermodynamics and detailing here are a disaster.

[Gabriel Buule @GabrielBuule]

Roofing with old car tyres would be a brilliant solution but in Uganda, people will start stealing tyres from parked vehicles

The friends a woman has will greatly influence her life’s decisions.

Choose wisely because some friends will lead you far away from your path.

[DG Gerald Obai @dgrotaryd9213]

The greatest gift we can give our children is a community where they can grow up healthy, safe and proud.

Today, I join fellow Ugandans in supporting the National Cleaning Days Initiative because every clean street, every cleared drainage channel and every properly managed waste site protects lives.

I encourage every Rotary, Rotaract and Interact club to lead from the front. Service isn't only what we fund. It's also what we do with our own hands.

Let's make every last Saturday count.

@joshuabyamazima Investment is vital for economic growth & job creation but it should not come at the expense of essential public infrastructure.Protecting such facilities is one of the core responsibilities of a city physical planner.

[Okwairwoth Pius @OkwPius]

@joshuabyamazima BTW Joshua if we appreciate the principles of SDG 11.7 2geda with the New Urban Agenda adopted at UN Habitat III we recognize that sustainable urban development must balance investment with the public interest.

Well done Amos and the crew. was that a hydration station or a temptation tent 😂. Am sure those yellow crates at the sides were clearly the main attraction. I do bet some runners never made it past the that stop 😆. Bravo to the crew anyway
