Small story.
In Luo when a cow give birth, milk collection is done during the period of first milking.
This milk collected daily is put under fermentation even for one week.
They call it in local language "Adila"
When the milk is ready, then the time for enjoyment comes.
This milk is normally taken together with a boiled sweet potatoes.
If the milk is excess then, the neighbours are invited to join the table.
I don't know if Luos are still doing this thing.
Fresh memories💥
Growing up deep in the village I still have amazing memories about this traditional vegetable.
There is away this vegetable was being prepared traditionally when cooking it.
There was no hurry when preparing it.
The boiling of this vegetable was done using a pot, the boiling was done slowly from morning upto evening.
From there,Milk was added to it daily for some days before officially eating it.
Ghee(Mor alenya) was also added.
Those days when this vegetable was fully embraced.
Fermented saga was amazing 💥💥
In our community we call it "DEK".
@sciencegirl Since the decay of radioactive elements are constant rate...these e.g. Caesium are used as accurate measurement of time lapse...to set and reset other timepieces.
I have seen the Kenya Kwanza regime doing a lot of public education on the Finance Bill, maybe thinking they are preventing another June 2024 moment.
What they do not understand is that June 2024 may not repeat itself as a Finance Bill protest, but it opened the door for anything. Kenyans can wake up tomorrow and protest over taxes, corruption, unemployment, police brutality, arrogance, school fees, fuel prices, electricity bills, or even because they do not like how the President smiles when people are suffering.
That is how uncalculating this regime is. They think the problem was one document called the Finance Bill, yet the real problem is anger, mistrust and the feeling that citizens are being ruled by people who do not listen.
You can explain the Finance Bill from morning to evening, but you cannot public educate people out of hunger, joblessness and betrayal.
