As a Muslim, there's one contradiction I still struggle to understand... 🤔
A Muslim migrates to a Christian-majority country...
👊
He wants to build a mosque.👍
He wants to preach Islam freely.👍
He wants to distribute Qur'ans.
He wants halal food.👊
He wants religious freedom.👍
Excellent! That's exactly how it should be. 👏
But here's where my brain starts overheating... 😂
Why does that same freedom suddenly become "dangerous" when a Christian wants to build a church or preach in some Muslim-majority countries😭
Interesting...😔
So freedom is beautiful...🤌
...until it's someone else's freedom? 🤔
Since Islam is truly from Allah...
Why should it panic because a church was built down the road?
Why should a Bible make the truth nervous?
Why should a Christian preacher be treated like a national security threat?
You can't export religious freedom... and import religious restrictions...🤔
If we demand tolerance abroad... we should have the courage to practice it at home.
Double standards have never strengthened the truth..🤌
"A belief that asks for freedom only for itself isn't asking for freedom... it's asking for privilege."...✊
A church that doesn't know how to repent will self-destruct.
After Satan is done tempting, he continues to persuade his slaves to treat their sins with levity.
They may claim it was just a mistake, but if they didn't feel the grief of the One who died for sins, the cycle is bound to continue.
We seriously need a revival of shame, first for the church and then hopefully for society.
There is no virtue in being confident in the face of true accusations and valid criticisms.
We need more Christians who can say, "I am sorry, I am wrong."
We need more Christians who can weep for their sins.
There's an engineered campaign against Baba Adeboye. I have seen the stories of men rewritten and it is important what is written about people.
The RCCG PR team have the responsibility to ensure that Baba's story is not rewritten by political jobbers and haters.
An excerpt of the video when Baba spoke about the country and the president is attached below.
This is the link to the full video: https://t.co/bHNleb6XU9
Baba's full speech was caught out to smear his name. Watch the full video and understand his speech and context that led to the part that was caught out.
You will never reduce the legacy of a great man of God to political dragging and smear campaigns.
Recently, I was seated with my friend and some of his female friends. One of them posed a question.
"If your house is on fire and you have about 3 mins to recover anything, what would you recover."
My friend: if there is no human being that need rescuing, just my UNIBEN certificate and Call to Bar certificate.
Me: That makes sense.
Her: I don't understand. Is that all?
Me: Only reason for even rescuing the certificate is that UNIBEN would take forever to issue you a new one. My UK masters, if I send a mail, I'll get a new one within the week.
Her: what if you have cash or something expensive that can be rescued? What is wrong with men?
Me: You are talking to the wrong people. If it cost money, it is not a problem. I'm not entering fire unless to rescue a human being.
My friend: (laughing) as in ehn. You no go understand. Shebi it is money, no wahala na. You'll make it back. Even if you don't make it back, no wahala.
Her: *puts her hand on her head, confused.*
whatever good future Nigeria may have is some 2-3 generations away. anything we're fighting for now, we're doing it for the future cuz we will never see it. this is important to remember so that we tackle both things: fix the present for yourself best you can, fix the future too.
