[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP This is not a fake account, Quintin, ease up, please...

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP What?

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP I'm fine, thanks. How are you doing? Closing down the Cinema Institute? Why? I've heard some good stuff is getting done.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP I want something genuinely argentine, who's the new Leonardo Favio?

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP Besides that crappy shakespearean Matias Pineiro, which more european than argentine. Just mure of the same..

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP But how's everything going down there? Do you have anything to recommend from argentine cinema?

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP Are you impersonating Robert De niro in Taxi Driver? hehe Of Course, I was drawing some ideas on that old piece of yours.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

All this stuff was as a way of response to @quintinLLP's old article "An Anorexic's Case Against Uchida Tomu." in Cinema Scope

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP Do we want to integrate these aesthetic strategies or don't we want to do this? And what do we do about India, and about Egypt?

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP , and how do we deal with this?

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP Do we want to accept that there is an Eastern European or a Central European modernism that is a communist modernism?

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP So it's not only about questioning the usual names, it's about questioning the whole attitude we have towards film history.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP Cinema is so much greater than that.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP .different production circumstances, then you have to admit that what we consider today as film culture is way too narrow-minded

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP If you accept that great cinema is being made all over the world, under a variety of political systems, and under a lot of quite

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP And what we need to do is question a lot of things we consider aesthetic fundamentals, things that we have made into axioms.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP A lot of things are just taken for granted and not really questioned.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@quintinLLP If you read my stuff, you can probably guess that I'm not really cool with many film-historical axioms.

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

To get rid of a lot of this ballast, or to reformulate certain questions would demand quite a lot of re-writing of film history.@quintinLLP

[Olaf Möller @OlafCinema]

@thefilmzu That was my first FAV. Thanks a lot buddy.
