The image depicts Chief Obafemi Awolowo, then Premier of the Western Region, during a visit to lkare-Akoko in 1953.

Seated next to him is the late Oba Adegbite, the Owa-Ale of Ikare. This event occurred during Awolowo's time as Premier, which ran from 1952 to 1959, before Nigeria's independence. He was a prominent figure in the Nigerian independence movement.

Awolowo was a great man

I am sitting here all alone and something just pop up in my thought
I will be 30 in some days and I just realized that in 30 years time ., myself and persons of my age range will be 60
Now here’s the gist,as a Yoruba boy ,We grew up to see our fathers listening to the likes of #AYINLAOMOWURA, #EBENEZEROBEY, #SUNNYADE ,#BARRISTER,#KOLLINGTON,#ORLANDOOWOH and the likes whenever they want to relax and maybe reflect on life .
Now what baffles me is that who will be our go to musician when persons of my age range turn 60 and we need to listen to music that relates with life
I searched through the music industry and the only person worthy of this grace is no other person but #OLAWALEOLOFORO #brymolawale
This is not to chase clout but to let you know he is worthy of this because his music relate with life and this is someone who his music will come through for Persons of my age when we clock 60.

He has his flaws and as we all know., no one is an island

Thank you for existing #OLAWALEOLOFORO

Another one…

2009, I introduced Banky W to Brymo’s music. We played “Brymstone” on our drive from Soundcity (Lekki) to Omole and Banky kept saying “this guy can sing”.

[JJ. Omojuwa @Omojuwa]

Brymo hasn’t gotten his due recognition for his coinage of ‘City Boy”. Especially when you consider what they did to him on the back of that inspired position.

PS: Brymo, in essence, also created ‘Village Boy’ because there’d be no Village Boy Movement without the original.

@waecnigeria Hello,@waecnigeria please how can a student recall for her script? My sister failed physics with the least grade, whilst passing the remaining subjects, and we were wondering what could have been the issue. If there is any help in regard to this, I'll appreciate, thanks.

@shuagry @Unwanaassam1 @Nobsdaslushhkid They pay as tuition fees compare to ours.

[Olakunle @Olakunle941]

@shuagry @Unwanaassam1 @Nobsdaslushhkid My dear, I'm not making excuse for any politicians I'm just pointing you to the reality of that time. As it were, considering our population growth, no government can guarantee free education at higher level in this country. You can compare with the rest of the world. How much..

[Olakunle @Olakunle941]

@shuagry @Unwanaassam1 @Nobsdaslushhkid Do you know that free education was not actually free in the true sense, Westerners paid for it through tax, before they can implement it to the latter. Ask yourself why the policy failed in other region. Please let's be objective.
