I can't imagine being boxed. I'm too versatile to be caged.
Growing up was something else for me why because no one from my peers understood me.
I was always tagged “I too know” but within me, I knew there was something different about me that I couldn't just figure out. I didn't just want to live according to the dictates of what has been tagged life essentials. I just wanted to discover myself and understand life better for myself.
I didn't like a predictable lifestyle. I guess we all know that kind of dictatorial life that we all inherited from our parents, society and the world at large.
Years down the line, I still feel the same thing even through my days in the university. I desired something exceptional away from this boisterous life. Not money, not luxury but an intentional life without pressure just a world where I can breathe freely and no one will judge me.
All I just wanted was peace from within not noise all around. A perfect serenity to relate with the wonders of creation and expelling the goodness of nature within and without.
But today, the world is in great turmoil and complexity. It shouldn't be that complex. From fake friends, pretence, hypocrisy and lies laced as a luxury lifestyle.
The only way out of this cage is to seek inner peace and be happy.
Inside danfo this morning, the bus fare was 800 Naira. The woman beside me stretched 700 Naira to the conductor who rejected it immediately with “e gba owo yin pada jare. 800 ni moto”.
The woman replied “na 700 I get my brother, no vex, my uncle”
He didn’t let her land as he had already shifted attention to other passengers. He still replied “mama, mio gbo pa. E fun mi ni 800 mi. Eyin le nra epo si moto fun mi ni?”
The woman kept begging, he also insisted on his full 800 naira while insulting her. The insults were getting to me and since I already gave him 1k and my 200 Naira change was with him, I said “condor, remove her remaining 100 Naira from my change, give me 100”.
The woman looked at me with bad left eye reading “talo ran werey eleyi nise”. She didn’t even let me read meaning to her eyes finish before she shouted “uncle, don’t pay for me. I didn’t ask for your money. Because of 100 Naira, he has insulted me enough and you still want to pay him. Didn’t you hear all the insults? Lai lai. If he can’t accept abeg, he should getaway”.
I looked at the condor, “alaye, 200 naira mi da?” He gave me my money and requested that 700 naira from her. She said “never. Upon all the insults wey you give me? If I pay you 700 after those insults, make I die”.
The conductor started shouting and ready to drag her down at the next bus stop but he no fit. She said that the insults have reduced the money to 500 Naira and she stretched the 500 to him. I was just laughing. I have never seen monetized insults before.
Another passenger now added that what if the conductor start praying for her, will he get his money back? She said “Yes, he should work for his balance”.
I swear, this guy prayed for her from Anthony to Onipanu to collect his 200 Naira.
@thelady_O Every child bears their father's name why is she trying so hard to make another man’s child bear her own father’s name?
She should be the one to retain her own father’s name. If it’s a surname his father’s siblings and their children will continue to bear the name.
Lord, thank You for the gift of a new day.
As the sun rises, may Your light guide our steps, Your peace guard our heart, and Your wisdom shape our decisions.
We walk into this Thursday with faith, joy, and gratitude. 🙏🏾
Good morning tweethearts 😍 🥰. Have a productive day.
Since my last encounter with my ex-husband in 2021, I have not been in any relationship or had sex.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that I get angry very easily and become easily irritated. Sadly, I sometimes transfer that frustration to my children, and it breaks my heart. 😭
I truly love my children and do everything I can to care for them. They are well looked after, doing well in school, and I’m grateful for that. However, I’ve noticed that they have also become very aggressive and easily angered, especially with one another at home.
I feel so guilty because I keep wondering if my behavior has contributed to this. My children are 10 and 7 years old, and I don’t want this to become a bigger problem as they grow.
I’ve been trying to stay calm and change the way I react, but I haven’t seen much improvement. This situation is affecting my peace of mind, and I really need guidance.
Please, what can I do to help myself and my children? I would be grateful for any advice from you and those who have gone through similar experiences.

Here are 5 powerful growth hacks that can help any student ; whether in school, university, or lifelong learning to accelerate their ability to learn new things:
1. Active Recall & Spaced Repetition
- Instead of rereading notes, test yourself by recalling information from memory.
- Use flashcards (physical or apps like Anki/Quizlet) with spaced repetition to strengthen long-term retention.
- This method mimics how the brain naturally consolidates knowledge.
2. Teach What You Learn
- Explaining concepts to someone else (or even to yourself out loud) forces deeper understanding.
- Try the Feynman Technique: break down complex ideas into simple language as if teaching a child.
- Teaching reveals gaps in knowledge and solidifies mastery.
3. Micro-Learning & Chunking
- Break study sessions into small, focused chunks (25–30 minutes with short breaks).
- Focus on one concept at a time rather than overwhelming yourself with entire chapters.
- This reduces cognitive overload and makes learning more digestible.
4. Interleaving & Cross-Application
- Mix different subjects or problem types in one study session.
- For example, practice math problems, then switch to history, then back to math.
- This strengthens adaptability and helps the brain form connections across disciplines.
5. Real-World Application & Projects
- Apply what you learn immediately in practical contexts — projects, experiments, or even teaching peers.
- For example, if you’re learning coding, build a small app; if studying economics, analyze local market trends.
- Application transforms abstract knowledge into usable skills.
I wish you all the best.
I remember how I lost my first proper phone 😭😭. It was during my secondary school inter-house sports when I was in SS2. I had suffered and disturbed my brother so much to get that phone, only for it to get stolen in just 2 days!
I took it to school that day and literally carried my bag everywhere. Our school was a two-story building, and my class was on the second floor.
While staring down from the balcony, my pen fell to the ground floor. The idea of carrying my heavy bag all the way down just for a pen didn't sit right with me, so I dropped the bag and asked my friend to watch it for me.
I ran down to grab the pen, and by the time I got back up, my friend was gone and so was the phone inside my bag. I wan craze that day! My friend claimed she had to quickly attend to something for just a few minutes and left the bag there.
I asked everyone around, but they all claimed they didn't see anything. The killer part? I couldn't even report it to the school authorities or teachers because we weren't supposed to bring phones to school in the first place. 💔🚶🏾♀️
That was my first heartbreak ever💔💔
One thing about marrying your type be say if your head no correct and you marry who the head no correct too, una life don spoil. 😂
Did I tell you people how I met my wife??
On that faithful day, I jumped a pickup truck early in the morning on my way to work since that day was a protest day for bus drivers and they were not working. I was just sitting on the back of the truck like a prisoner when my wife came out from another street and started pursuing the pickup truck like an agbero with her dangling yansh.
There was a little hold-up, so the truck slowed down and I helped my wife to enter. It was love at first sight since we were two nonzenze people sitting at the back of the truck like two th!;£v£s that stole a fowl. The rest is now history 😆
I’m seriously praying for our children. 😁🤦🏾♂️
So if you are looking for your type, check the kind of person you are first because your true love might be selling okpa or plantain chips on the highway but you are looking for a banker. Onye-oshi!!! 😆
