We Celebrate Imeko Agbinrekoti Day, Reaffirm Our Commitment to Imeko-Afon
We were delighted to join our highly revered traditional ruler, HRH Oba Benjamin Alabi Olanite (Akanku IV), distinguished sons and daughters of Imeko-Afon Local Government Area, community leaders and other dignitaries for this year’s Imeko Agbinrekoti Day celebration in Imeko.
Imeko remains very dear to us, and we deeply appreciate the warmth, love and support we continue to receive from our traditional institution and the good people of Imeko-Afon. We particularly appreciate Hon. Bodegan Osirisankan for his magnanimity, steadfastness and continued support.
The occasion also afforded us the opportunity to highlight some of the projects, programmes and interventions we have facilitated for the benefit of our people in Imeko-Afon. We assured the gathering that our commitment to the development of the local government remains unwavering and that we will continue to support initiatives and projects that improve the lives of our people.
We equally called on all sons and daughters of Imeko-Afon, both at home and in the Diaspora, to continue working together for the progress of our communities, Ogun State and Yorubaland.
We are deeply humbled by the declaration of our Royal Father, HRH Oba Benjamin Alabi Olanite, expressing the support of the people of Imeko for our governorship aspiration ahead of the 2027 election. We do not take this confidence and goodwill for granted.
We thank our Royal Father and the entire Imeko community for the warm reception and assure our people that we will continue to justify their confidence through service, development and an unwavering commitment to the progress of Imeko-Afon and our dear Ogun State.
A Special Appreciation to Our Generous Donors and Supporters
We wish to express our profound gratitude and sincere appreciation to our friends, associates, supporters and well-wishers who have continued to demonstrate their belief in our aspiration through their generous personal contributions, donations of campaign materials and sacrifices.
We are particularly humbled by those who, from their hard-earned resources, have donated vehicles and other mobility support to strengthen our campaign, grassroots mobilisation and outreach across Ogun State.
These are not contributions we take for granted. Every vehicle donated represents sacrifice, commitment and, above all, confidence in our collective aspiration and the future we seek to build together.
We therefore wish to specially recognise and appreciate the following donors:
1. Mr. Akintunde Armstrong — 26 buses
2. Alhaji IBD Dende — 7 buses and 1 ambulance
3. Zacobass Oil & Gas — 10 buses
4. Stonebridge Engineering Services Ltd — 10 buses

We cannot sufficiently express how much these gestures mean to us. For individuals to voluntarily commit their personal resources to provide buses, an ambulance, a pickup and other vehicles for our campaign is a powerful demonstration of trust and commitment to our collective journey.
These vehicles are already strengthening our grassroots operations, with some deployed to support mobilisation and outreach efforts involving Ode Ado, Sango (Jabot), Alhaji Ismail, Imam Ado, Imam Akewukowo, Fulani Ilaro, Imam Ijebu, Door 2 Door and Ese Muphy.
We equally acknowledge and appreciate the many supporters who have provided other campaign materials and logistical assistance, as well as those contributing their time, expertise, networks and resources to the success of our movement. Whether your contribution is publicly acknowledged or quietly made behind the scenes, please know that we value and appreciate every sacrifice.
We are conscious that many of these donations came from resources that our supporters could have devoted to their personal needs, families and businesses. Choosing instead to invest part of those resources in our aspiration places an enormous responsibility on us. We will continue to cherish the confidence you have reposed in us.
To Mr. Akintunde Armstrong, Alhaji IBD Dende, Alhaji Sacobass, Mr. Fatai Adesegun and every other donor and supporter listed above, we say thank you.
Your generosity strengthens our movement, your sacrifice inspires us, and your confidence further reinforces our determination to continue working towards the progress and development of our dear Ogun State.
We remain profoundly grateful to you all.
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA
@Sen_AdeolaYAYI When you are committed and people see dedication in you, this is what you deserve. You have been making us (Yewa) proud since you became Senator. By Gods grace we shall all witness your administration as the Governor of Ogun 2027. More income to all the Donors.
We had a fruitful engagement with the leadership and members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ogun State Chapter, where we listened to their concerns, requests and expectations for the future of our dear State.
We addressed issues relating to Christian pilgrimage, infrastructure, education, mobility and institutional support, while assuring the Christian community that their legitimate concerns will continue to receive due attention. We also reiterated our commitment to an inclusive government where every citizen, irrespective of religious affiliation or social status, has a sense of belonging.
The engagement provided another opportunity to share our ITESIWAJU Agenda, our nine-pillar development framework for Ogun State. Our vision is anchored on continuity, consolidation and further development—building on the foundation laid by the administration of our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, while introducing new initiatives and long-term planning for infrastructure, education, housing, transportation, industrial development and social amenities.
We sincerely appreciate the leadership and entire Christian community in Ogun State for their prayers, counsel and warm reception. Together, we remain committed to ITESIWAJU IPINLE OGUN, the progress of Ogun State.
The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has questioned the continued absence of President Bola Tinubu from Nigeria, 22 days after the Presidency announced that the President was embarking on a three-week annual vacation.
In a statement issued on Monday and titled, “Who is in charge of Nigeria?”, the former Vice President cited Section 145 of the Constitution, which provides for the transfer of presidential functions when the President proceeds on vacation.

Our engagement with leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) continued in Ijebu North-East Local Government Area, where we met with our party stakeholders to discuss unity, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
We made it clear that every member of our party has an important role to play in the journey ahead. We must continue to reach out to those who may have been aggrieved by the outcome of our recent primaries, address genuine concerns and bring everyone together as one united progressive family.
As we consolidate our structures across the local government, we charged our leaders and members to remain focused, accommodate one another and continue engaging our people on the strength of our record in government.
We thank our APC family and the people of Ijebu North-East for their continued support and confidence in our administration and our great party.
We were warmly received by the Regent Awujale and Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland, Olorogun (Dr.) Sunny Kuku, alongside members of the Ijebu Interregnum Council, Council of Chiefs and other traditional leaders.
We were deeply humbled by the Regent’s recollection of our relationship with the late Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, particularly his words: “Senator Yayi, the Awujale had no other candidate but you.” Papa was a father to us, and our love and commitment to Ijebuland will never diminish.
We discussed the development priorities of Ijebuland, including healthcare, education, security, infrastructure and economic opportunities. We also welcomed the proposed Ijebu Development Agenda and assured our traditional leaders that we would carefully consider its priorities within our broader plans for Ogun State.
We equally reaffirmed our support for the aspiration for the creation of Ijebu State and highlighted the enormous economic potential of the Ogun Waterside and coastal corridor, particularly through port development, oil exploration and other investments capable of transforming the economy of Ijebuland and Ogun State.
We appreciate the Regent, the Council of Chiefs and the entire traditional leadership for their warm reception, prayers and constructive engagement. Together, we will continue to pursue a development agenda that ensures every part of our dear State moves forward.
ITESIWAJU IPINLE OGUN!
We have completed the construction and furnishing of a modern block of 12 classrooms at Anglican Grammar School, Ilaro, in Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The newly completed facility is equipped with a solar inverter system to provide reliable power supply, alongside quality furniture to create a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.
The project also includes a well-equipped library and administrative offices to further enhance the learning experience of the students and provide a better working environment for teachers and school administrators.
This intervention reflects our sustained commitment to investing in education and providing the infrastructure required to give our children better opportunities to learn, grow and fulfil their potential. We remain committed to supporting quality education and improving learning conditions across our communities.
