@DanielRegha These acts which prevents the state governors from the misuse of power isn’t enough as far as state policing is concerned, but I believe it can’t be perfect as it is for now, but as time goes on they will amend any lapses. Thats constitution for us. No shades 👌
Suspected Terr%rists Abd¥cts Primary School Teacher On His Way To Work Along Eruku Road In Kwara
A primary school teacher, Shina Adeoye, has been abd¥cted by suspected terr%rists along the Obbo-Ile–Eruku Road in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, sparking fresh concerns about insecurity in the area.
Adeoye, who teaches at Cooperative Primary School, Eruku, was reportedly kidn@pped on Thursday morning while travelling to work. Community sources said the att@ckers intercepted him on the road and whisked him away to an unknown destination.
As of the time of filing this report, his whereabouts remain unknown, while efforts to secure his release are ongoing.
A resident who spoke anonymously described the incident as another troubling sign of worsening insecurity in the area.
The resident also lamented what he described as the near absence of security presence along the route.
“This road has become very d@ngerous. People travel with fear because there is hardly any visible security presence along the axis. We have raised concerns several times, but nothing seems to have changed,” he said.
Community members warned that residents are increasingly exposed to att@cks by armed groups operating in the area.
“Those using the Obbo-Ile–Eruku Road are no longer safe. Cr+minals appear to be taking advantage of the security gaps on the road. We are appealing to the government and security agencies to act before the situation gets worse,” another source said.
The latest incident comes months after suspected terr%rists att@cked Eruku community in November 2025, k+lling at least two people and inj¥ring another. The Kwara State Police Command had previously confirmed the att@ck and said security operatives, alongside vigilantes, responded and forced the att@ckers to flee into the bush.
