Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have successfully discovered and neutralised a suspected new-type Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted along the strategic Dikwa–Marte road in Borno State.

The device was safely detonated in a controlled explosion, preventing what could have been a devastating attack on troops or civilians.

WHY THIS MATTERS:

The discovery of a "new-type" IED suggests t£rr0r!sts are evolving their tactics likely in response to the military's growing effectiveness in detecting older models. This is a reminder that the enemy adapts. So must we.

Every IED neutralised is a life saved. Well done to the Engineer team of the Nigerian Army.

FIRST LADY DONATES COASTER BUS TO STATE HOUSE PRESS CORPS FOR EFFECTIVE REPORTAGE

As part of efforts to further aid effective coverage and dissemination of government activities, especially at the nation’s seat of power, the Nigeria's First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has donated a brand new coaster bus to the State House Press Corps.

Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila who made the presentation on her behalf joined top media managers of the President, including the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris on a test ride of the vehicle around the presidential villa.

Members of the State House Press Corps, led by the Chairman, Emmanuel Anule expressed gratitude to the First Lady for the gesture, noting that the bus will further aid the operations of journalists working in the State House.
